Primary Responsibilities:
- Ability to triage and resolve incidents logged by end users such as billing edits, claim rejects, missing charges, duplicate charges, remit posting exceptions.
- Work queues and pre-bill edit resolution; re-bill and re-file workflows.
- Validate and support charge capture across clinical areas; troubleshoot missing/incorrect charge events.
- Perform routine charge master updates in coordination with required teams.
- Monitor batch jobs and revenue extracts; collaborate with clearinghouse/EDI teams for claim rejections.
- Run standard reports (e.g., aging, denial categories); basic root-cause trend analysis.
- Support UAT for minor enhancements, build migrations, and month-end cycles.
- Partner with Core/Integration on HL7 DFT/ADT issues impacting billing.
- Own and manage Tier 2 support tickets through resolution, including root cause analysis and documentation of fixes.
- Coordinate with Tier 3 and vendor support teams for escalations and complex issues.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues impacting clinical workflows.
- Maintain knowledge base articles and ticket resolution documentation for recurring issues.
- Support integration points between Millennium and ancillary systems (e.g., lab, pharmacy, radiology).
- Validate and test build changes in non-production environments before deployment.
- Assist with change control processes, including impact analysis and risk mitigation for configuration updates.
- Provide support for Oracle Health (Millennium) applications including design, build, testing, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with end users to confirm any build changes in the supported systems.
- Identify system optimization and enhancement opportunities.
- Participate in implementation, upgrade, and enhancement projects.
- Provide support for application incidents, including rotations for 24/7 on-call coverage.
- Develop and maintain training materials.
- Facilitate communication with stakeholders from requirements to implementation.
- Build strong relationships with end users and business partners.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree required e.g. Associate, Bachelor, Master or a minimum of 2 years healthcare experience
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare domain knowledge and system configuration.
- 1+ year experience with Patient Financial Systems (PFS).
- 1+ year experience with third-party integration support.
- 1+ year experience in Charge Master maintenance.
- Deep experience with Oracle Health (Millennium) solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiar with Cerner Patient Accounting (CPA) workflows, edits, and workqueues.
- Experience with additional Revenue Cycle workflows/configuration including Registration, Scheduling, Health Information Management, and Charge Services.
- Oracle Health Millennium certification in Revenue Cycle or Patient Accounting.
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools for ticket management.
- Experience troubleshooting HL7 ADT/DFT messages impacting billing and charge posting.
- Ability to interpret Millennium logs and error messages for revenue cycle issues.
- Familiarity with Millennium security models and documentation access control.
- Ability to script or automate repetitive tasks using CCL or other tools.
- Experience with various documentation requirements for specialties.
- Proficiency with MS Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Experience with general Millennium workflows.
Key Competencies:
- Strong understanding of revenue cycle processes including registration, scheduling, charge capture, billing, and claims.
- Experience supporting Millennium upgrades and domain migrations.
- Understanding of Oracle Health reporting tools (DA2, CCL, Discern Analytics).
- Experience with virtualization and Citrix environments used for Millennium access.
