Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance data pipelines, apply transformations to structure data, extract entities, topics, and more.

  • Utilize task-specific embeddings for efficient indexing and searching within large datasets.

  • Fine-tune AI models and optimize inference mechanisms for maximum efficiency.

  • Design and implement APIs to expose advanced AI-driven functionalities over customer data.

  • Construct and manage an evaluation platform, establish metrics, and continuously refine the quality and performance of AI models, knowledge search, and algorithms to empower applications used by legal professionals. 

Experience Required

  • 5+ years in data engineering, AI, or a similar field, with a strong emphasis on cloud technologies and enterprise solutions.

  • Proficiency in working with foundational and Large Language Models (LLMs).

  • Experience with AI/Machine Learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch.

  • Expertise in programming languages like Python, Java, or Go.

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native application development.

  • Demonstrated experience in building and scaling data pipelines and advanced search systems.

  • Senior, Staff, or Tech Lead level experience. Ability to lead and guide teams.

Bonus

  • Familiarity with working with Azure and AWS cloud

  • Interest or background in legal tech application development.

  • Prior experience with early-stage AI startups.

  • Drive to tackle complex, novel problems.

  • Willingness to work 4 days a week from our office in Palo Alto, California
