About Ramp

Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $100B in annualized spend flows in and out of 50,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.

The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.

We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.

The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.

If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.

About the Role

Ramp is looking for someone embedded in the AI ecosystem to focus on establishing and deepening partnerships with AI-native firms. This role will report directly to our Director AI, Partnerships and work closely with our product and engineering leads. They will help to the design our partnership strategy with AI-native companies and drive the execution of key components of it.

We're optimizing for someone who knows the AI world well and can deepen and scale meaningful partnerships with AI-native companies. As such, this role requires the person to be very well networked with these companies and to understand how to best build meaningful value with them and how to influence them.

The successful candidate will also be product-minded and able to work effectively with product and engineering teams at the labs and AI native companies.

Backgrounds that tend to be a strong fit: an investor who has backed and advised AI companies, an operator at an AI lab or leading AI-native business who has built and shipped real products or formed meaningful partnerships, an ex-founder who has built and scaled an AI-native company or product, or someone with a strong reputation in the AI community as sharp, trusted, and effective.

What You'll Do
  • Help design and drive the execution of Ramp’s AI partnerships strategy, with a focus on creating differentiated value for Ramp customers and deepening our relationships with AI-native firms through meaningful partnerships.

  • Leverage and build relationships while identifying new avenues to drive commercial impact and product differentiation.

  • Serve as Ramp's voice in conversations with AI companies and product partners.

  • Partner closely with product, engineering, and design teams to shape Ramp’s AI product roadmap and investment priorities.

  • Identify, structure, and close partnerships spanning AI-driven product integrations, platform collaborations, and strategic co-building opportunities within Ramp’s AI / Labs ecosystem.

  • Drive alignment across internal stakeholders (product, engineering, legal, GTM) to bring partnerships from concept to launch at high velocity.

  • Represent Ramp in high-stakes conversations where credibility and judgment matter as much as the terms.

  • Maintain a strong point of view on the evolving AI ecosystem, translating market developments into actionable partnership opportunities that drive near- and long-term value for Ramp’s customers.

What You'll Need
  • Known and trusted in the AI ecosystem. You understand the competitive dynamics, know who's building what, and are very plugged into conversations happening now — not just informed from the outside.

  • Ability to influence the labs and AI-native firms due to your relationships, knowledge of what matters to these firms, and ability to create meaningful value through partnerships

  • Real technical fluency. You don't need to be an engineer, but you need to understand how foundation models work, how products get built on top of them, and what the key decisions are when two companies work out a technical integration. You can engage credibly with technical founders without getting lost.

  • A track record of closing and executing complex partnerships or shipping great products. Partnerships negotiated and signed, products shipped at an AI company, or investments made as a principal — something concrete you took from start to finish.

  • Strong product intuition and user-centric thinking. Ability to connect partnership opportunities to real customer problems and product experiences, without owning day-to-day product development.

  • Exceptional strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate partnership opportunities, structure win-win outcomes, and prioritize across competing investments.

  • Experience leading and influencing cross-functional initiatives across product, engineering, and business teams.

  • Clear communication, structured thinking, and strong judgment in high-stakes, ambiguous environments.

Nice to Haves
  • Having been the primary external face for a company or fund in AI ecosystem partnership conversations, owning senior relationships end to end, not just contributing to them.

  • Early-team experience building and scaling a product, with exposure to both product development and go-to-market.

  • Experience in high-growth startup environments where speed, ambiguity, and ownership are critical.
