About Nevoya:

Nevoya is North America's leading next-generation electric trucking carrier, transforming logistics through AI-native operations and relentless customer focus. The company builds and uses proprietary technology to deliver zero-emissions carrier services to Fortune 500 shippers with superior economics and service to legacy diesel operators. The company has operations in California and Texas, and is backed by globally-renowned investors including Lowercarbon Capital.

About The Role:

As an AI Product Manager, you will own the discovery, design, and delivery of AI-powered products and workflows that make freight smarter. You will identify where AI can solve real operational problems, partner closely with engineering and operations to build solutions that hold up in production, and turn complex logistics challenges into products that move freight more efficiently. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role for someone who thinks in systems, leads with curiosity, and ships with speed.

Reporting to the VP of Product and AI, you will work alongside engineering and operations teams to bring AI capabilities from idea to launch. Beyond shipping product, you will help stand up Nevoya's product operations function and contribute to how the company approaches AI enablement as the platform continues to evolve. You will have real ownership early and the room to shape how AI products get built here.

This is a role built for a builder who is equally comfortable in a product strategy conversation and a sprint planning session. You bring a strong point of view on how great AI products get made and a genuine interest in how emerging capabilities can be applied to the realities of freight. Nevoya aims to reinvent the trucking industry and this role will be a key player to achieve our vision.

What You'll Do:
  • Own AI-focused product initiatives from discovery through launch, working hand in hand with the engineering team

  • Identify and prioritize where AI can add meaningful value across freight workflows, building a clear roadmap of opportunities

  • Conduct and synthesize user research to surface high-value problems and validate where AI is the right solution

  • Define product requirements and success metrics for AI features, holding the team accountable to outcomes over outputs

  • Partner with engineering to translate complex logistics challenges into reliable, production-ready AI products

  • Contribute to the development of Nevoya's broader AI strategy as that function grows

  • Support the buildout of the product operations function, including release processes, feedback loops, and cross-functional rituals

  • Own voice-of-customer for the operators who live in the product, spending time close to real freight workflows before specing the tools and AI features that support them

  • Develop tooling and workflows that improve how AI products are evaluated, shipped, and monitored in production

  • Work with internal teams to ensure smooth launches and strong adoption

  • Communicate product direction and tradeoffs clearly across technical and non-technical stakeholders

What You'll Bring To The Table:
  • 3 - 6 years of product experience with a focus on AI operations, with a track record of shipping in fast-moving environments

  • Direct experience building, shipping, or operationalizing AI-powered products or workflows

  • Strong instincts for user research and the ability to translate customer insights into clear product direction

  • Demonstrated ability to partner closely with engineering teams and lead product development end to end

  • Ability to go down to the operating level, figure problems, build solutions that meet business goals working with operations, dispatch, drivers, and leadership (a not taks is too small for me mentality)

  • Comfort with ambiguity and a track record of bringing structure to early-stage or scaling product environments

  • Strong systems thinking, including comfort designing around a single source of truth and event-driven workflows, and reasoning clearly about what breaks at scale

  • A demonstrated ability to be a neutral arbiter across competing stakeholders and still ship a coherent roadmap

  • Data fluency, including the ability to define metrics, interpret results, and make decisions grounded in evidence

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to align stakeholders across functions

  • Genuine curiosity about how emerging AI capabilities can be applied to real-world logistics problems

Desired Experience:
  • Background in mobility, logistics, truck and carrier operations

  • Experience at a Series A or early-stage startup where you helped build product and operational infrastructure from the ground up

  • Hands-on familiarity with how AI products are evaluated, deployed, and monitored in production

  • Hands-on experience scaling operations through agents or agentic workflows

  • Exposure to standing up or maturing product operations practices within a growing team

At Nevoya, we believe diverse teams build better solutions.

  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta

  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
