About Our Team
The AI Security team is a newly established organization within Micron's Cyber Defense & Resilience (CDR) group. We provide AI and automation engineering expertise across CDR's security functions, partnering with teams such as SOC, GRC, Third-Party Risk, Security Awareness, and Security Architecture to accelerate AI-driven transformation and improve cybersecurity operations at global scale!
Position Overview
We are seeking an AI Security Engineer to design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions that enhance cybersecurity workflows across Micron's security organization. This role partners closely with CDR sub-towers to build AI agents, automations, and workflows, while contributing to the broader AI Security engineering community through shared standards, reusable solutions, and best practices.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy AI agents, automations, and workflow solutions supporting CDR security initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity partners to identify priorities, gather requirements, and align roadmaps with business objectives.
  • Participate in architecture reviews and peer reviews to ensure high-quality, secure, and scalable solutions.
  • Contribute reusable frameworks, patterns, and best practices to the AI Security engineering community.
  • Apply threat modeling and secure software development practices throughout the AI solution lifecycle.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 2+ years of software engineering experience developing and deploying production applications.
  • Experience working with AI/ML technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), or automation frameworks.
  • Demonstrated understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including authentication, data management, error handling, and secure coding practices.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders in an agile or project-based environment.
  • Ability to participate in technical design reviews and operate effectively within a peer-review-driven engineering culture.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing solutions for cybersecurity, risk management, compliance, or security operations use cases.
  • Hands-on experience building and deploying production-grade AI applications used by business or security teams.
  • Familiarity with threat modeling, secure development lifecycle (SDLC), and security architecture principles.
  • Experience creating reusable libraries, frameworks, or automation components that improve engineering efficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn complex technical domains quickly and translate business needs into scalable AI-driven solutions.
