Our Story

TopDog Law is not your typical law firm. We're a nationally scaling personal injury firm built for impact and growth — owning the client experience end-to-end, from marketing and intake through litigation. We believe that world-class marketing, paired with exceptional legal talent and operations, creates better experiences and outcomes for clients and the business alike.

Over the past three years, we've grown 2–3x year over year, setting a new standard on the marketing side of the personal injury space and proving what's possible when strategy, speed, and execution align. Now we're applying that same discipline and innovation to firm operations, case management, and national scale — intentionally building the infrastructure, systems, and teams to grow without sacrificing quality, culture, or accountability.

We are a fully remote team that share trust, open communication, and a commitment to doing great work. If you love ownership, thrive in a fast-moving environment, and want to help build something exceptional, you'll feel right at home here.

The Opportunity

TopDog Law is one of the fastest-growing law firms in the U.S., blending cutting-edge technology, data driven decision-making, and elite legal talent to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients. We are seeking a Sr Analyst, Law Firm Analytics to join our team who combines strategic judgment, analytical depth, and technical capability to elevate how data informs decision making across the

organization.

This is not a traditional back-office analytics role.

The Analyst, Underwriting Analytics will support the team responsible for forecasting expected case value and modeling case outcomes, work that directly shapes operational and marketing decisions across the organization. This role focuses on executing rigorous data analysis across the case portfolio, maintaining and improving valuation models, and translating findings into clear, reliable outputs the broader business can act on.

What You Will Own

Technical & Analytical Execution

  • Write and optimize SQL queries to support case valuation modeling, reporting automation, and underwriting analysis
  • Leverage SQL, Excel/PowerPivot, Python, AI and other analytics tools to build and maintain reliable, scalable reporting
  • Apply structured problem-solving to well-defined and moderately ambiguous underwriting and case valuation questions
  • Stay informed on emerging analytics and AI capabilities that can enhance underwriting analytics practices

Analytics and Reporting

  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports that provide clarity to underwriting and operational leaders
  • Serve as an analytical resource supporting case valuation forecasting (CVFO) and related modeling across case types and segments
  • Support the definition and upkeep of KPIs used to monitor underwriting accuracy and case portfolio performance

Performance Monitoring & Insight Generation

  • Analyze case outcomes, conversion rates, and portfolio performance against underwriting assumptions
  • Help identify discrepancies, trends, and anomalies across case types, states, and lead segments
  • Translate data findings into clear summaries and recommendations for the

Underwriting Analytics Team

  • Support forecasting and reconciliation work tied to case volume, vintage performance, and portfolio composition
  • Contribute ideas to improve existing models, queries, and processes—not just maintain them as-is

What You Bring

Required:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
  • 1-3 years of experience in business analytics, data operations, or a related quantitative field
  • Solid SQL skills with the ability to write and troubleshoot moderately complex queries against large datasets
  • Proficiency with Excel, including PowerPivot/DAX; exposure to Python or R is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • High commitment to data integrity and accuracy
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, performance-driven, high-growth environment
  • Intellectual curiosity and an ownership mindset
  • Ability to take direction, prioritize effectively, and execute with speed
