Job Summary & Responsibilities

Exciting new opportunity to join an excellent team that is working on next generation ATE solutions and semiconductor devices, supporting semiconductor customers, including high performance compute. You'll work on cutting edge technology guiding our customers in close collaboration with R&D, COE and marketing in a cross-functional, international environment. This is an ideal position for a software or electrical engineer with a strong test engineering background, and in-depth knowledge of the V93000 system, ST8 test program architecture as well as strong SW skills for writing test methods and tooling to meet customer needs.

This position will require the drive to work in a challenging environment where requirements change quickly, and solutions must be developed and delivered. You are a strong team leader who can guide customers with complex test requirements, using your SW skills, planning and V93000 knowledge to deliver solutions with high confidence. You are approachable and easily work with a team, a good communicator with deep technical knowledge, and considered a role model by your peers.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Develop test methods (Java/C++) for digital devices on the 93k platform. With a focus to transition from ST7 to ST8.
  • Support customers on debugging and resolving SmarTest SW issues. Write documents and presentations to clearly explain complex concepts in test programs and production environments
  • Train customers on new SW and HW solutions coming out of R&D and the Advantest Application Development Center. 
  • Integrate Advantest products and services (at the system/solutions level) into customer's environment.
  • Collaborate with COE, R&D and external teams on customer requirements to develop solutions for high performance compute applications.
  • Clearly communicate Advantest's strengths, solutions, and roadmap strategy to our customers, addressing technical challenges that arise daily.
  • Prepare and execute pre-sales activities such as customer presentations and paper benchmark projects, requirements analysis, competitive positioning activities, etc.
  • Represent the customers’ needs of their assigned business segment to field or factory.
  • Contribute to achieving and maintaining customer satisfaction, loyalty and engagement
  • Approximately 20% travel to various customer and Advantest sites
Preferred Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Master or bachelor graduates majored in computer, electrical, electronic engineering, instrumentation, communications, microelectronics, computer science or related disciplines.
  • 5+ years of industry experience or equivalent. Willing to consider exceptional new college graduate with proven record of hands-on experience.
  • Experience with Java (or C/C++) programming and in script languages (Python, Perl)
  • Project experience in IC test, IC application development and support, bench test, module test, system test, or IC design, system design is preferred
  • High motivation for continuous learning in a technology environment
  • Proactive and self-motivated working style
  • Team player
  • Interpersonal skills and motivation to work with customers
