The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Platform Developer (Mid-Level or Senior) to join the team in Seattle, WA; Berkeley, MO; Hazelwood, MO; or Dallas, TX.
Boeing Global Services (BGS) Supply Chain AI & Analytics team within Boeing's Enterprise AI & Data Organization is seeking an AI Platform Developer (Full Stack) to design, build and deploy end-to-end AI applications, connecting AI and Machine Learning (ML) model inferences to functional user interfaces. This spans prompt engineering, vector database storage, and agentic workflows. This role supports the operational backbone of agentic AI solutions, helping ensure that automation is reliable, observable, secure, and ready for production use. The AI Platform Developer will work closely with developers, analysts, architects, platform teams, and business stakeholders to support the rollout of agent-based workflows and the systems they depend on.
This position focuses on automation, monitoring, analysis, and operational readiness. The AI Platform Developer will help set up development and production environments, support deployment activities, and build tools and processes that improve reliability and scalability. They will investigate technical and reliability issues, recommend process improvements, and help establish best practices for provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, and troubleshooting. This role also contributes to defining and tracking service level indicators, service level objectives, Service Level Agreement (SLAs), and error budgets to ensure solutions meet performance and availability expectations. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, technically strong, and comfortable working in fast-paced, short-duration engagements where speed, stability, and continuous improvement are essential.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Build, test, and deploy end-to-end AI & Analytics applications, connecting AI/ML model inferences to functional user interfaces
  • Bridge standard web architecture with machine learning operations (MLOps), handling model deployment and data pipelines
  • Work with development teams and product managers to create software solutions
  • Design client-side and server-side architecture
  • Build the front-end of applications through visually appealing, responsive designs
  • Develop, manage, and optimize databases
  • Write and consume effective REST Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software
  • Investigate technical, operational, and reliability issues during development and implementation
  • Build and integrate software tools that improve system reliability, observability, and scalability
  • Support set up of development and production environments, including deployment-related activities
  • Develop best practices and methodologies for provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to define and track service level indicators, service level objectives, SLAs, and error budgets
  • Create and recommend process improvements that increase stability, efficiency, and operational readiness
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of operational processes for automated agent workflows

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 3+ years of experience with software development, deployment, maintenance, and support
  • Experience troubleshooting technical system issues
  • Experience in production environments

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience supporting AI-enabled systems, automated workflows, and/or AIOps capabilities
  • Experience with observability tools, monitoring frameworks, logging, and/or alerting solutions
  • Experience with configuration management, provisioning, and/or release/deployment processes
  • Experience improving reliability, scalability, and/or operational readiness of software platforms
  • Experience working with service level indicators, SLAs, and/or error budgets
  • Experience integrating tools and systems in enterprise environments
  • Experience with cloud platforms, automation tooling, and/or modern deployment practices
  • Experience with strong analytical and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments
  • Experience collaborating across delivery, platform, and operations teams

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range for level 3: $107,950 - $156,400
Summary pay range for level 4: $132,600 - $192,050
