Job Description SummaryThe ASC Solutions Architect is the commercial solutioning and deal-architecture lead for complex ambulatory surgery center opportunities. This role partners with ASC Development Leaders, regional and account sales teams, product specialists, finance, Healthcare Financial Services, service, legal, compliance, operations, and other stakeholders to translate customer requirements into coordinated, customer-centered, financially sound, and executable multi-modality solutions. The Solutions Architect owns the development of integrated equipment and service bundles, configurations, quotes, financing pathways, deal economics, approval materials, and commercial execution plans while supporting a consistent experience from discovery through booked order and implementation handoff.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Design and Configuration

  • Partner with the ASC Development Leader and commercial teams to translate the customer’s clinical strategy, procedure mix, facility plan, workflow, timeline, budget, and growth objectives into a coordinated solution architecture.
  • Design scalable ASC bundles across relevant GE HealthCare equipment, software, digital, service, training, and partner capabilities, balancing customer requirements, clinical workflow, standardization, implementation readiness, and commercial objectives.
  • Coordinate modality inputs, technical requirements, room and infrastructure assumptions, product dependencies, compatibility considerations, and configuration decisions. Document open items, owners, risks, and required decisions.
  • Develop repeatable standard configurations and modular ASC offerings that can be adapted to independent, health system, MSO, private equity, and joint-venture customer models.

Commercial and Financial Solutioning

  • Build and evaluate deal economics, including equipment and service scope, pricing, margin, customer value, projected savings, financing structure, cash-flow considerations, revenue recognition inputs, risk, and expected commercial outcomes.
  • Partner with Finance and Healthcare Financial Services to evaluate capital purchase, lease, financing, phased deployment, and other approved commercial structures that align with the customer’s capital strategy and GE HealthCare requirements.
  • Perform horizontal pricing analysis across modalities and offerings, identify tradeoffs, and develop recommendations that improve competitiveness while maintaining pricing discipline, compliance, and profitability.
  • Prepare clear financial models, scenario comparisons, approval summaries, and executive-level decision materials that simplify complex data and enable timely action.

Quoting, Governance, and Approvals

  • Coordinate the development, consolidation, quality review, and submission of multi-modality quotes, proposals, single-signature packages, and supporting commercial documentation.
  • Engage required stakeholders early and facilitate pricing, risk, legal, compliance, contracting, finance, and Delegation of Authority reviews. Track approvals and resolve gaps or escalations.
  • Maintain strong process discipline in CRM, quoting tools, opportunity documentation, version control, assumptions, milestones, and handoffs.
  • Ensure proposed solutions comply with applicable company policies, pricing governance, commercial approval requirements, contracting standards, and customer commitments.

Pursuit and Cross-Functional Execution

  • Serve as the solution-development partner to the ASC Development Leader, who remains the opportunity quarterback and owner of market development, executive relationships, opportunity strategy, pipeline, forecast, and commercial outcomes.
  • Lead cross-functional working sessions to align account sales, product specialists, clinical resources, service, applications, project management, installation, finance, legal, compliance, supply chain, and external partners around one solution and action plan.
  • Support customer-facing discovery and solution reviews when technical, financial, workflow, implementation, or commercial expertise is required.
  • Anticipate execution risks, dependencies, lead times, partner requirements, and implementation constraints, and develop practical mitigation plans before customer commitments are finalized.
  • Provide a structured handoff after contract execution or order booking so project, installation, service, applications, and clinical teams understand scope, assumptions, dependencies, and customer commitments.

Standard Work and Continuous Improvement

  • Develop, document, and continuously improve ASC solutioning standard work, intake requirements, configuration guides, financial templates, quote checklists, approval workflows, and handoff tools.
  • Apply Lean and structured problem-solving methods to identify root causes, remove delays and rework, simplify processes, and improve speed, quality, transparency, and scalability.
  • Capture lessons learned and provide upstream feedback to product, finance, commercial enablement, service, operations, and leadership to strengthen future ASC offerings.
  • Champion appropriate tools, analytics, automation, and knowledge-sharing practices that improve repeatability and team effectiveness.

Measures of Success

  • Time from qualified request to coordinated solution, approved quote, and customer-ready proposal.
  • Accuracy and completeness of configurations, pricing, financial models, documentation, and approval packages.
  • Multi-modality attach rate and adoption of repeatable ASC bundles and standard configurations.
  • Pricing and margin performance within approved guardrails, with transparent management of exceptions and risk.
  • Quality of cross-functional coordination, customer experience, implementation readiness, and post-booking handoffs.
  • Reduction in quote rework, cycle-time delays, missed dependencies, and preventable escalations.
  • Contribution to ASC opportunity progression, win rate, orders, revenue, profitability, and strategic account growth.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of commercial, financial, operational, proposal, deal-desk, or solution-development experience in healthcare, medical technology, capital equipment, financial services, or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated experience with financial analysis, pricing, deal modeling, risk assessment, capital planning, financing solutions, or complex commercial structures.
  • Proven project-management capability, including facilitation, scheduling, prioritization, risk management, follow-up, tracking, documentation, and communication.
  • Ability to develop and coordinate complex, multi-stakeholder solutions in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to convert detailed financial, technical, and commercial information into clear recommendations.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across commercial, clinical, technical, operational, financial, and executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel 30% of the time.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Commercial solutioning background with experience structuring integrated equipment, service, digital, and financing offerings.
  • Strong financing solutions profile, including experience with leases, capital financing, cash-flow modeling, return-on-investment analysis, and alternative transaction structures.
  • Firsthand experience supporting ambulatory surgery centers, MSOs, private equity-backed healthcare platforms, IDNs, physician groups, de novo facilities, or complex outpatient capital projects.
  • Knowledge of the ASC market and the stakeholders involved in planning, building, financing, equipping, implementing, and operating an ASC.
  • Experience with cardiovascular, interventional, imaging, ultrasound, patient monitoring, anesthesia, digital, service, or other multi-modality healthcare solutions.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with PowerPoint, Word, Teams, SharePoint, CRM, quoting, and proposal tools.
  • Ability to visually present complex, data-rich information in a simple format that enables efficient decision-making.
  • Functional knowledge of pricing compliance, revenue recognition, contracting, Delegation of Authority, commercial approvals, and risk management.
  • Experience with large-scale process improvement, Lean methods, workflow automation, and development of repeatable standard work.
  • Excellent process discipline and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple urgent priorities without sacrificing quality.
  • Comfortable coordinating across modalities, regions, functions, operating businesses, and external partners without direct authority.
  • Customer-facing experience and the ability to understand and represent the customer’s business, clinical, operational, and financial perspective.
  • Ability to remain calm, objective, and solutions-focused under pressure.
