Curve Royalty Systems
Curve is a people company that builds technology for the music industry. Our mission is simple: Make Royalties Better. We give labels, publishers, and rights holders the tools and support they need to ensure money flows accurately, transparently, and fairly to the people who create and sustain music. Our team has deep industry expertise and genuinely cares about the work, which means we focus on solving real problems for real people.

How We Work:How we work
  • We are a remote team of 36 people, spread across 10 countries. We stay closely connected through daily standups and regular online communication, making sure everyone stays aligned and supported in their work. We meet in person when it adds value, through occasional local meeting days and periodic team offsites.
  • Trust is the foundation of how we work. As a fully remote team, we operate with a high level of autonomy and trust people to work in ways that suit them best. We expect everyone to take ownership of their responsibilities, make thoughtful decisions and speak up when they need support.
  • We aim to create an environment where people feel comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas, and learning from each other. We believe that asking questions is critical to our success. Our team is approachable, supportive, and invested in helping each other succeed.
  • We value curiosity and continuously explore new technologies and better ways of working together.
  • We operate with transparency and honesty. This means not to promise what you can not deliver, taking responsibility for mistakes and delivering bad news quickly. We don’t expect anyone to have all the answers, but expect people to ensure we handle each situation effectively as a team.
  • We believe in people bringing their authentic self to work and prefer genuine human interaction over a facade of professionalism.
  • We are intentional about our values and how we work together, while recognising that this is always a work in progress and will never be perfect. We see culture as something that we actively build together, and everyone is encouraged to help us shape it.
What you’ll do
  • You’ll work together with our Client Manager to manage a portfolio of clients and act as their main point of contact, ensuring their needs are met with accuracy and care.
  • You build trust-based relationships with clients through clear communication and proactive support.
  • You investigate data issues, ask the right questions and work through problems methodically until they are resolved.
  • You analyse large datasets using Excel and other tools to identify discrepancies and generate insightful reporting.
  • You will reformat large datasets and prep them for onboarding onto the Curve platform.
  • You collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure smooth client onboarding and continuously improve service delivery.
  • You build processes and use technology to help us scale and work more efficiently.
  • You provide feedback to the product team to help improve Curve’s platform and client experience.
  • We take an open approach to roles and responsibilities. We're always interested in what people are good at and what they're curious about  and we actively look for ways to incorporate those strengths into the role over time.
Who are we looking for

The following outlines what we think sets someone up for success in this role. If you don't tick every box but you're excited about what we're building, we'd still love to hear from you.

  • You have 2+ years of relevant experience, whether through professional roles, education, personal projects, or active involvement in the music industry, ideally with exposure to client-facing work, royalties, accounting, copyright, or metadata.
  • You are a clear communicator who enjoys working with people and building collaborative relationships through email and video calls with our clients and colleagues.
  • You can leverage technology to make reviewing, reformatting and processing data more efficient.
  • You have proficiency in Microsoft Excel and can creatively utilize formulas and tools such as XLOOKUP and Pivot Tables to review and reformat data effectively as a core part of your day-to-day work. An interest in working with Python and AI tools to automate repetitive data tasks are a big plus.
  • You are a natural problem-solver who enjoys digging into complex challenges and figuring things out. You don't need to have all the answers up front, but you're able to investigate, ask the right questions and find a path forward.
  • You have solid mathematical skills and are able to apply this to reviewing and analysing royalty calculations.
  • You take care in your work and pay close attention to the details.
  • You are self-motivated, self-managed, and comfortable working independently in a remote team.
  • You're naturally curious. When something catches your attention, you take the time to explore it and learn from it.
  • You're confident asking questions and comfortable with what you don't yet know. You know when to dig deeper and when to ask for help rather than assume.

Cover letters are optional but encouraged.
