The Associate Director Internal Communications works closely with the Chief Marketing Officer to develop, manage and drive Clear Street’s internal communications strategy. This role is responsible for ensuring employees are informed, engaged and aligned with Clear Street’s business priorities, growth strategy and culture.

Blending strategy and hands-on execution, this role sets the vision for internal communications while personally delivering high-impact storytelling, executive messaging and employee engagement programs in close partnership with the People Team. The Associate Director of Internal Communications ensures consistent, clear and compelling messaging across all internal channels.

This role is a key partner to leadership, Marketing and the People Team and as well as cross-functional teams, shaping communications that support scale, change, engagement and culture in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

Internal Communications & Storytelling

  • Develop and execute internal communications strategies that support company priorities, change initiatives and People-led engagement and cultural moments.
  • Translate complex business updates into clear, engaging and employee-centered narratives.
  • Write, edit and manage content across internal channels including email, intranet/landing page, newsletters, digital signage and collaboration platforms.
  • Ensure consistency of voice, tone and messaging across all employee communications.

Town Halls & Executive Communications (Production Ownership)

  • Own the end-to-end production of company Town Halls, including planning, content development, speaker preparation, run-of-show creation, logistics and post-event communications.
  • Partner with executives to develop talking points, scripts, FAQs and presentation materials that align with company strategy and culture.
  • Manage timelines, approvals and cross-functional coordination to ensure polished, engaging, and well-executed events.

Comms & Culture Employee Events

  • Lead the production of internal communications & culture employee events, including ownership of two annual tentpole culture events.

Culture & Communications Hub (Company Landing Page Ownership)

  • Own and manage the company landing page that serves as the central hub for all Culture & Communications, in partnership with the People Team.
  • Curate, create ,and maintain content that houses company updates, leadership messages, cultural storytelling, events and key employee resources.
  • Continuously improve the digital employee experience through content governance, UX best practices and ongoing optimization of the company's intranet.

Measurement, Feedback & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor engagement, sentiment, and feedback across internal channels and events.
  • Build and report on key dashboards and analytics tracking engagement and other relevant KPIs
  • Use insights and metrics to refine communications strategies and improve effectiveness over time.
  • Establish and maintain editorial calendars, workflows, and best practices for internal communications.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in internal communications, employee engagement, corporate communications, or a related field (level flexible based on candidate).
  • Proven experience producing Town Halls and large-scale internal events.
  • Demonstrated ownership of internal communication channels such as intranet pages, internal landing pages or digital employee platforms.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone for executives, employees and diverse audiences.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.

We Offer: 

The Base Salary Range for this role is $130,000-$170,000. This range is representative of the starting base salaries for this role at Clear Street. Where a candidate falls in this range will be based on job related factors such as relevant experience, skills, and location. This range represents Base Salary only, which is just one element of Clear Street's total compensation. The range stated does not include other factors of total compensation such as bonuses or equity.
