Our client, a world leader in semiconductors, is looking for an Associate Test Engineer I - Optical/Mechanical/Opto-Mechanical based in Milpitas, CA.

 

Job Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility Of Extension)

Pay Rate : $34/hr on W2

 

Overtime: Hours working 5-10 hour days plus weekend.

 

Company Benefits: Medical, Paid Sick leave, 401K

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for performing the set-up, optical alignment, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of optical systems, circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems.
  • Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems.
  • May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems because of testing.
  • May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.
  • Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School, ASEET, BSEET or BSEE and a minimum of 3 years of progressive experience is required.
  • Works on assignments that are extremely complex in nature where independent action and a high degree of initiative are required in resolving problems and developing recommendations. 
  • Assembly experience
  • Experience working with hand tools is highly preferred
