CLA is seeking an Assurance Manager or Director to join our growing Financial Services Group. In this role, you will lead assurance and audit engagements for financial institution clients, delivering high-quality audit, review, and compilation services while serving as a trusted advisor to clients while driving engagement quality, team development, and exceptional client service. This role can be based in one of our strategic growth markets, including Indianapolis, St. Louis, or Dallas.

How you'll create opportunities in this Assurance Manager or Director role:

  • Lead and manage audit and assurance engagements from planning through completion.

  • Serve as a primary client contact, providing proactive guidance and maintaining strong client relationships.

  • Oversee engagement budgets, timelines, and quality standards.

  • Review audit plans, internal control assessments, and engagement deliverables.

  • Mentor, coach, and develop team members through ongoing feedback and professional development.

  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and retention of top talent.

  • Contribute to business development efforts by strengthening existing client relationships and identifying growth opportunities.

  • Deliver operational excellence while ensuring profitable engagement execution and an exceptional client experience.

What you will need:

  • 6 years of relevant experience required

  • Experience in a large professional services or public accounting firm, driving strategic management preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is required.

  • CPA required
