GENERAL SUMMARY
The Athletic Director is responsible for the financial success of the youth and adult sports program through the on-going creation and/or development of staff, programs and services. This position will provide leadership to the sports Associates to ensure the delivery of professional, high-quality, programs to our membership. This position will require an extensive knowledge of youth and adult sports programming, age-appropriate instruction, as well as a talent for engaging participants in activities that support their overall physical and mental health.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS
Sports Program and Operations Management
- Create and implement engaging and developmentally appropriate sports programs for adults and youth
- Ensure safety and security through monitoring of facilities, equipment, and operational systems
- Regular inspections of the sports areas to ensure a clean, organized, safe, and well maintained facility; coordinate repairs and maintenance of sports related equipment
- Manage all athletic programs that utilize the Gymnasium, including but not limited to, basketball leagues, camps and clinics, volleyball programming, badminton programming, and specialty fitness programming
- Develop and manage a marketing and communication plan for each program, based on target demographic, brand standards and financial goals
- Purchase needed supplies and equipment, based on program needs and expense budget
- Anticipate staffing needs when building program plans; recruit, train and supervise staff so programs are executed safely and successfully while exceeding customer and club expectations
Financial Accountability
- Manage financial performance of the Sports program through achievement of sales and revenue targets, expense management, proper planning and forecasting, and retention
- Track, report and analyze the details of financial operation
- Prepare and implement action plans to meet or exceed monthly financial goals
- Review applicable financial statements and reports

- Support other team members when critical needs arise, if needed
- Execute any additional duties as assigned by the General Manager and/or Leadership staff

- Promote harmonious relations among members, staff, vendors, and the community at-large.
- Communicate timely and follow up, as appropriate.

- Ensure the TBCC mission and club brand is upheld in all aspects of club operations
- Represent the club in a professional manner through image, dress, communication, and immediate follow through and response

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Minimum of two years of experience in sports programming
- Experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting preferred
- Ability to create and implement innovative youth and adult sports programs
- Professional, friendly manner and excellent customer service attitude and abilities
- Ability to read, understand and communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand
- Ability to understand and communicate so others can understand ideas and information
- Strong verbal communication and conflict resolution skills
- Enthusiastic, responsible, and dependable team player
- Self-motivated, takes initiative and willing to acquire new skills
- Well organized and detail oriented
- Ability to develop and maintain computer records in MS Office programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook and other software required by TBCC and regulatory agencies
- CPR/AED certification required

- This position deals with outside personnel such as members and clients on a regular basis with contact in various forms such as in person, phone and email.
- The location of the position changes frequently from indoors to outdoors. However, extreme environmental conditions do not exist.

- It is sometimes necessary to deal with unpleasant or angry people with the need to problem solve difficult situations
- Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms

- Must occasionally sit for extended periods and regularly walk around the facility

- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays required
