About Interface.ai

interface.ai is redefining how financial institutions serve their members through agentic AI and conversational AI — and we're doing it in production, at scale, with real outcomes. $30M in Series A funding. Cash-flow positive. A mission that matters: democratizing financial wellness for every American, not just the ones who can afford a private banker.

Role Overview

Reporting directly to the VP of Sales, you will serve as a high-impact Player-Coach responsible for scaling a world-class Business Development team. You will lead a high-performing pod of BDRs while maintaining a personal quota, modeling the exact outbound excellence required to penetrate the credit union and banking sectors. By optimizing our tech stack and refining our ICP, you’ll play a pivotal role in accelerating our pipeline and shaping the future of our sales organization.

What You’ll Do:
  • Lead by example, coach a pod of 3‑6 BDRs - daily stand‑ups, call reviews, and data‑driven feedback loops

  • Carry your own “player‑coach” quota for qualified meetings, consistently exceeding target to model best practice

  • Design, test, and optimize multi‑touch cadences in Apolloio, Sybill.ai, Zoominfo, Nooks, HubSpot, and Salesforce (email, phone, LinkedIn, video)

  • Build automated list segmentation, triggers, and enrichment workflows that keep the funnel full and clean

  • Partner with Account Executives, Marketing and RevOps to refine ICP, territory plans, and hand‑off SLAs to AEs

  • Analyze funnel metrics, surface insights, and present weekly dashboards to Sales leadership

  • Recruit and onboard new BDRs, scaling playbooks as the team doubles in size

  • Build AI SDR flows for low signal inbound leads

  • Hire and train new BDRs and create a career path for BDRs to AE roles.

What You’ll Bring:
  • 5+ years managing a small BDR/SDR team and 2+ years of individual‑contributor success (≥ 100 % to meetings quota for 4+ quarters)

  • Preferred:  Expertise prospecting credit unions and community/regional banks—you speak their language and know their buying cycles

  • A knack for writing punchy, value‑led copy that turns cold prospects into warm meetings

  • Data‑driven coaching mindset; you love A/B tests, talk‑track scorecards, and win‑loss reviews

  • Bay Area residency and willingness to work from our offices in the South Bay 4‑5 days per week

Bonus Points:
  • FinTech, SaaS, or AI‑for‑CX background

  • Familiarity with revenue‑intelligence tools (Sybill) and intent data providers (ZoomInfo)

  • Knowledge of banking industry

  • Skill in using prompt engineering techniques to enhance productivity, drive efficiency, and decision-making with generative AI tools.

  • Built AI SDR flow

Why interface.ai

Series A · $30M raised · Cash-flow positive — we're not burning cash hoping the product works. It works. Customers are live, revenue is real, and the mission is one you can explain to your family without a slide deck.

You'll work directly with Bruce Kim (CTO / Co-Founder), who sets the technical bar and goes deep on the hardest problems, and Srinivas Njay (CEO), who is hands-on daily across product and engineering. Founding-team-tier equity, top-of-market base, comprehensive benefits, and a modern San Francisco office worth showing up to. The team is small enough that your judgment shapes everything, and the market is large enough that what you build will matter for a long time.

interface.ai is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees

What you need to know about the San Francisco Tech Scene

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. That said, San Francisco has a lot to offer beyond technology thanks to a thriving art and music scene, excellent food and a short drive to several of the country’s most beautiful recreational areas.

Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
  • Research Centers and Universities: Stanford University; University of California, Berkeley; University of San Francisco; Santa Clara University; Ames Research Center; Center for AI Safety; California Institute for Regenerative Medicine
