Benefitfocus is seeking an HCM Sr Implementation Consultant to join our Customer Success Organization. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering data integration requirements and delivering solutions that meet clients’ data integration needs. You will support both new employer groups during implementation and existing customers navigating business changes that impact how data is exchanged with Benefitfocus.

As an HCM Sr Implementation Consultant, you will develop expertise in Benefitfocus and industry-standard integration approaches while partnering with customers, payroll vendors, HCM providers, and internal engineering teams to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality data integrations. Success in this role requires a strong customer focus, technical aptitude, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.

This role is remote; however, candidates must be located within commutable proximity to one of our major office locations to support periodic onsite collaboration, team connection, and business priorities.

The Contributions You’ll Make:
  • Work with customer payroll vendors to determine outbound deduction file or API integration requirements.
  • Partner with customer HCM system teams to identify inbound demographic file or API integration requirements.
  • Extract files and ensure successful, accurate, and timely delivery to vendors.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions, integration overviews, training sessions, and implementation project meetings.
  • Gather and analyze customer integration requirements and recommend appropriate integration solutions.
  • Translate customer requirements into accurate and concise requirements documentation for internal engineering review and development.
  • Refine requirements documentation based on customer feedback and engineering team recommendations.
  • Develop and execute testing plans to validate data integrations.
  • Oversee and support component testing and user acceptance testing activities.
  • Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve issues identified during testing and implementation.
  • Ensure successful transitions from customer legacy file transmission processes and data to the Benefitfocus platform.
  • Obtain customer and internal engineering sign-off and coordinate smooth transitions to ongoing production support teams.
  • Partner with project managers to align integration deliveries with overall implementation milestones.
  • Adapt to a fast-paced environment while effectively managing multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
  • Successfully manage a workload of 10 to 15 concurrent implementation and integration projects.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Operations, Sales, and other cross-functional partners to ensure shared knowledge and successful project outcomes.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and support to junior associates.
  • Support team initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Knowledge & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 6+ years of experience in a SaaS implementation environment.
  • Experience with systems integration and field-level interface design.
  • Experience with file transmission processes and integrations with external vendors.
  • Strong business application consulting experience with direct client-facing responsibilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and effectively partner with engineering teams.
Preferred Knowledge & Experience:
  • Knowledge of payroll systems.
  • Knowledge of employee benefit plans and benefit administration structures.
  • Experience working with HR technology platforms, data integrations, and benefits administration systems.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya may offer incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

$95,000 - $110,000
