Blackstone Private Wealth was established to answer the growing demand for Blackstone products from high-net worth investors. Partnering with many of the world’s largest private banks and wealth management firms as well as family offices, Blackstone’s Private Wealth team packages and delivers the full breadth of Blackstone’s alternative product capability to these firms and their clients and provides ongoing product and advisor support, as well as education and training around alternatives. 
 

The Internal Sales Specialist will partner with External Sales Specialists to cultivate relationships with key financial advisors within a specified channel and territory(s), with the goal of accelerating the adoption of Blackstone investment solutions.  The Internal Sales Specialist will maintain a high level of contact with intermediary clients and prospects and will be the subject matter expert across one of the most diverse sets of alternative investment offerings in the industry.    
                          

Responsibilities:                       

  • Partner with External Sales Specialists to drive sales within assigned territory(s)
  • Cultivate relationships with financial advisors through high-quality interactions including proactive and reactive calls, emails and follow-ups as well as limited in-person territory meetings
  • Maintain a high-level of client service by answering inbound inquiries and working with the operations team to resolve specific account issues
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and articulate Blackstone’s sophisticated products (fund objectives, terms, exposures, manager strategy, positioning, performance attribution, etc)
  • Take a consultative approach in profiling financial advisors in order to understand their business, clients and investment challenges to better match Blackstone solutions to their needs
  • Work with External Sales specialists to establish and execute on territory plan(s) and utilize data to optimize engagement with financial advisors
  • Utilize the CRM system to log all client/prospect related activity on a daily basis
     

Qualifications:                          

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • FINRA Series 7 & (63/65 or 66) required
  • 5+ years work experience within the financial services industry required (asset management, wealth management or alternatives experience preferred)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated passion for capital markets and alternative investments
  • Ability to perform at a high-level within a dynamic environment, and entrepreneurial culture with a focus on excellence
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience with web-based CRM technology (eg SalesForce)

Expected annual base salary range:

$125,000 - $145,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
