About the company
Our client is a fast-growing software company.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Own the visual identity and tone of voice for a growing software business ahead of a major public launch, while also pitching in on product interface work. This is an early, high-ownership position reporting directly to the founder and collaborating with product, engineering and go-to-market colleagues.
What you'll do
- Establish how the brand looks and sounds, and keep it consistent across every touchpoint.
- Create and implement the company's web presence and launch collateral with marketing leadership.
- Back up the existing design engineer on brand and marketing projects, offering honest critique and alternative ideas.
- Make front-end product improvements in TypeScript alongside engineers and release them to users within days or hours.
- Report to the founder and partner across product, engineering and go-to-market teams.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- At least 3 years in design or design engineering; UX/UI backgrounds are welcome, though the role leans more toward design than engineering.
- A standout portfolio spanning brand, marketing and product work, which is the first screening step.
- A track record of delivering both product interface design and marketing-oriented creative work.
- Comfort taking your own designs all the way to working front-end code in HTML, CSS and TypeScript, beyond a design tool.
- Experience moving quickly in startups or teams known for a high design bar.
- Strong visual and brand sensibility with a distinct point of view.
- Willingness to question existing work and give candid feedback.
- Valid US work authorization.
Bonus points
- Experience in fintech or fintech-adjacent companies.
