About Eon

Eon is a tech startup building the world's first virtual fleet. Our connected-first platform automates every step of renting a car, turning vehicles into income for owners while giving renters a frictionless experience.

We're building both the product and the brand around a new way of accessing and operating vehicles.

The role

This role is in-person at our NYC Tribeca office.

We're looking for a designer with exceptional visual taste who can help shape how Eon looks, feels, and communicates across every touchpoint.

Your primary focus will be brand and visual design across our website, campaigns, social, launches, photography, and other customer-facing work. You'll help evolve Eon's visual identity into a consistent and recognizable system.

You'll also work closely with the product design team, bringing a strong visual perspective into our customer, owner, and internal products. You'll help evolve our design system, refine existing experiences, and occasionally take ownership of a product project from concept through launch.

We're a small design team, so we're looking for someone comfortable moving between disciplines and turning loosely defined ideas into polished work.

Perks include a healthcare reimbursement plan, unlimited free usage of our rental platform, and periodic team sauna and karaoke sessions.

What you'll work on

  • Evolving Eon's visual identity across product, web, campaigns, and social
  • Art directing campaigns, launches, photography, and other brand work
  • Designing and shipping pages across our websites
  • Owning product design projects end-to-end
  • Creating presentations and pitch decks
  • Designing email and lifecycle marketing assets
  • Shaping the visual experience of our React Native customer, owner, and internal apps
  • Working with product designers and engineers to evolve our design system, refine interfaces and interactions, and maintain visual consistency

What we're looking for

  • 3 to 6 years of experience in visual, brand, or product design
  • A portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual craft, with strong typography, composition, art direction, and attention to detail
  • A strong understanding of brand systems across different mediums
  • Comfortable designing across web, iOS, and Android
  • Strong Figma skills, including components, variables, design systems, and prototyping
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where the boundaries between brand, product, and marketing aren’t rigid
  • Familiarity with Webflow or similar website-building tools
  • An understanding of modern frontend concepts and the ability to work closely with engineers
  • A high level of ownership and ability to turn loosely defined ideas into finished work

Nice to have

  • Early-stage startup experience
  • Experience across both brand and digital product design
  • Art direction and/or photography experience
  • Strong copywriting instincts for brand, marketing, and product
  • Familiarity with motion, animation, or 3D tools such as After Effects, Lottie, or Blender
  • Experience designing for React Native applications
  • Hands-on experience with AI design and development tools such as Claude, Codex, Midjourney, or similar

Process

  1. Portfolio review
Send us a portfolio that shows both your visual taste and how you think.
  2. Interview with our CEO
A conversation about Eon, how we work, and what you're looking for.
  3. Design interview with our Design team
Portfolio deep-dive covering your role, decisions, and process, followed by a collaborative design exercise.
  4. Culture interview
Meet more of the team and get a feel for how we work together.
