The Business Analyst supports operational, financial, and project-related initiatives by serving as a key liaison between cross-functional stakeholders, project teams, finance, and leadership. This role is responsible for coordinating project intake activities, supporting project management-related work, analyzing and interpreting data, supporting compliance-related initiatives, and driving operational efficiency through reporting and analytics. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. Strong Excel and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to collaborate across departments and translate data into actionable insights. Prior project management or project coordination experience is considered a strong plus. Utility industry and PG&E experience are highly preferred.
Your Day-to-Day Activities
Project Coordination & Stakeholder Support (40%)
- Manage and coordinate project intake requests with supervisors, project managers, finance teams, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Track project priorities, deliverables, and status updates to support timely execution and operational alignment
- Facilitate communication, scheduling, documentation, and follow-up activities across multiple teams
- Identify and support process improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency
Data Analytics & Business Support (60%)
- Perform advanced Excel-based analysis, reporting, and data validation to support operational and compliance initiatives
- Interpret and analyze financial, operational, and SAP data to provide actionable business insights
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, trackers, and ad hoc analytical deliverables
- Support data quality reviews, investigative analysis, and continuous improvement efforts across the team
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, Engineering, or related field preferred
- 5 years of data analytics using Excel or Power BI
- 2-year project manager/ project coordinator/ product owner experience
- Previous or current utility or construction experience
- Must currently be commutable to the job site

- $115,000-$145,000 annual salary
