Summary 

The Business Development Manager (BDM), AI is a newly created, high-impact role responsible for growing New Charter Technologies' AI-related revenue and market presence. This role bridges the gap between emerging AI technology capabilities and real-world client business outcomes, developing pipeline and closing opportunities within New Charter's AI enablement portfolio.

 

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy for New Charter's AI solutions and services. 

  • Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities with SMB and mid-market clients seeking AI adoption and integration support. 

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to clients navigating AI strategy, tooling, and implementation. 

  • Collaborate with technical teams to scope and price AI enablement engagements. 

  • Build relationships with AI technology vendors and ecosystem partners to enhance NCT's solution offerings. 

  • Partner with marketing to develop AI-focused content, case studies, and demand generation campaigns. 

  • Educate internal sales teams on AI enablement offerings and positioning. 

  • Represent New Charter at industry events, webinars, and partner forums related to AI and digital transformation. 

  • Maintain pipeline data and forecasting accuracy within the CRM. 

  • Up to 50% travel 

 

Preferred Skills & Experience 

  • 4+ years of technology sales or business development experience, with exposure to AI, automation, or digital transformation solutions. 

  • Familiarity with AI platforms, tools, and use cases (Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI, automation platforms, etc.). 

  • Ability to translate complex AI concepts into business value for non-technical stakeholders. 

  • Experience managing full sales cycles in a consultative, solutions-oriented environment. 

  • Strong CRM proficiency and structured pipeline management. 

  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and executive presentation skills. 

  • Estimated Compensation Range: $80,000 – $120,000 base + commission
