Business Development & Operations Manager
San Rafael, CA | Full-Time | In-Office 

Must have dependable transportation and be available on the occasional weekend or evening. This is not a sales position.
Compensation: $23-$27/hour + monthly bonus incentives.

We're looking for an ambitious, organized, relationship-driven professional who wants to become
an integral part of expanding one of Northern California's premier reverse mortgage practices.

As the Business Development & Operations Manager, you will become the operational engine
behind a growing business—helping expand our market presence, strengthen referral relationships, create efficient systems, coordinate and launch marketing initiatives, and deliver an exceptional experience for every referral partner and client.

You'll work directly alongside an experienced Reverse Mortgage Professional whose mission is to
educate seniors, financial professionals, and families about retirement planning through home
equity solutions.

Your Mission
Help expand the business. You'll become the trusted partner responsible for keeping operations running smoothly while expanding our visibility throughout the community and managing event and social media marketing.

Primary Responsibilities:
Business Development & Growth

  • Coordinate speaking engagements and workshops
  • Coordinate networking events and community outreach
  • Manage strategic marketing initiatives with other professionals

Marketing & Brand Management

  • Manage marketing calendar
  • Coordinate email campaigns, newsletters, social media and print marketing
  • Create presentations and educational materials
  • Ensure branding and compliance consistency

CRM & Client Relationship Management

  • Own CRM accuracy and outreach
  • Build automated follow-up campaigns
  • Track marketing effectiveness
  • Produce reports and pipeline updates

Executive & Operations Management

  • Manage calendar and workflow
  • Build and implement systems and checklists
  • Manage projects independently
  • Improve efficiency

Client Experience

  • Answer calls professionally
  • Coordinate appointments and client communications
  • Assist with proposals, setting follow up appointments via phone, Zoom, in-person and with the client’s family of advisors, collect documentation and track loan milestones

Event Coordination

  • Plan seminars, webinars, client events and networking events + follow up after each event.
  • Secure podcast guest appearances, press releases, co-marketing opportunities.

 

The Person We're Looking For
Someone who takes ownership, follows through, builds organization, thinks ahead, communicates
professionally, demonstrates strong critical thinking skills, adapts quickly, enjoys helping others succeed, and thinks like a business owner—not just an employee.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in mortgage, banking, real estate, financial services, executive support, marketing, business development or operations.
  • CRM experience, Microsoft Office proficiency, strong communication, organization and project management skills.
  • Canva and event planning experience preferred.

  • Vacation — Vacation hours accrue on a per pay period basis. Balance maximums are based on years of service.
