About the Team

The Founder’s Office is a unique and high visibility team whose work spans the entire business, so our Data and Analytics arm presents an opportunity for high ownership, visibility, and impact across the entire company. The team is highly collaborative and works directly with leadership to optimize operations and strategy across company growth strategy, partnerships, pricing, and cost optimizations.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for building 0 to 1 data infrastructure that enables the company to make informed strategic discussions. Specifically, this means working in Python and SQL across multiple databases and parsing through complex Engineering and AI logs to construct trustworthy and reliable datasets that will enable intuitive and confident decision making.

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with engineering to instrument new product surfaces and ensure clean, reliable event and usage data

  • Translate ambiguous business scenarios into measurable data problems spanning Growth, GTM, Pricing, Deals Desk, Strategic Finance, and Product

  • Continuously improve data infrastructure as the company and data volumes scale

Your background looks something like this

  • 3+ years of data experience in an early stage or high growth environments, particularly if you worked on a lean data team

  • Expert in SQL and BI (Hex, Looker or similar), and have experience building tables and databases from scratch

  • You are an owner and end to end technologist and “do what it takes” mentality. Your work doesn’t begin or end with data pipelines. You can flex into engineering as well as business, from reading our codebase to turning the outputs into key findings for our leaders

Even better if you have

  • Experience with Clickhouse and CDC

  • Built custom data connectors and webhooks

  • Optimized database and query performance

Benefits

We proudly offer the following benefits for our full-time employees:

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits for you and your family

  • Life Insurance and Disability Benefits

  • Retirement Plan (e.g., 401K, pension)

  • Parental Leave

  • Fertility and family building benefits through Carrot

  • Monthly stipend to support your wellness, lifestyle, and work-life balance

  • Daily lunches and snacks in the office to keep you at your best

  • Take what you need vacation policy (subject to local requirements; UK employees receive 25 days of statutory leave)

These benefits are described in more detail in Decagon’s policies, may vary by location, and can change at any time according to applicable compensation and benefits plans.
