About Us:

Lunar is a stealth technology company building a new type of software platform for health systems. We are on a mission to revolutionize healthcare with cutting-edge, AI-powered software designed to help every hospital deliver world-class care for their patients. Our platform is already the core backbone of health systems today, transforming clinical and operational workflows at scale with the world’s first AI-native hospital information system.

This next-generation platform is a fundamental rebuild of the information infrastructure that runs health systems. All of it – from doctors, nurses, pharmacists, lab technicians, coders, billers, supply chain, and even patients – Lunar’s software powers everything, soup-to-nuts. We believe that this mission is the moon landing of healthcare – something so consequential and ambitious that most people believe it to be impossible.

Backed by Silicon Valley’s preeminent venture capital firms, we believe in the power of a high performance team of seasoned professionals operating at the peak of their abilities. We value people who are driven, curious, have sound judgement, and care about doing the best work of their careers.

We are looking for a Business Operations Associate to help build and scale the operational foundation of Lunar. This role is an opportunity for a highly analytical and intellectually curious individual to gain exposure to a broad range of business functions while working alongside company leadership. You’ll develop experience across operations, recruiting, compliance, marketing, partnerships, and strategic initiatives, building a uniquely well-rounded understanding of how a high-growth healthcare technology company operates.

We’re looking for someone who is hard-working, resourceful, and excited by the prospect of solving new problems every week. This is a highly autonomous role where you’ll be trusted to take ownership, learn quickly, and drive important initiatives from concept to completion.

Over the next 6 months, here are some ways you can make an impact:

  • Own High-Priority Initiatives: Take ownership of important projects from start to finish, working directly with company leadership to drive execution.

  • Roll Up Your Sleeves: Thrive in an environment where no task is beneath you and no problem is outside your scope.

  • Execute Across Functions: Jump into a wide variety of business-critical projects spanning recruiting, partnerships, marketing, operations, compliance, and strategic initiatives. Gain exposure to nearly every part of the business while helping solve the company’s highest-priority challenges.

  • Build Operational Infrastructure: Create structure where none exists, balancing speed and pragmatism with long-term scalability.

  • Scale the Team: Help recruit exceptional talent by supporting hiring efforts, coordinating interviews, and improving recruiting operations.

  • Be part of a Mission Driven Company: Help shape the future of healthcare by building the operational backbone of a company revolutionizing an industry that has been left behind by software advancements.

Your Experience:

  • Exceptional Ownership: Demonstrated ability to independently execute complex projects and deliver high-quality outcomes. Comfortable operating with significant autonomy in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with executives, clinicians, engineers, customers, and external partners.

  • Craftsmanship: Committed to excellence, approaching work with precision, care, and a deep sense of craftsmanship to deliver high-quality outcomes.

  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Experience working at a startup, founding a company, leading major initiatives, conducting research, or other evidence of exceptional independent achievement.

  • Strong Analytical Ability: Able to quickly learn new domains, break down complex problems, and make sound decisions with incomplete information. STEM degree preferred.

  • Mission Driven: A passion for making a meaningful impact in the healthcare industry.

At Lunar, we know our greatest strength is the diverse blend of backgrounds, experiences, and ideas that our team members contribute. We’re passionate about healthcare, but we are also passionate about creating an inclusive workplace where every unique talent and perspective is not just respected, but celebrated. We thrive on embracing differences and are fully committed to fostering a fair, supportive, and dynamic environment where everyone has the opportunity to shine. All applicants will be considered for employment regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status.
