About Decagon

Decagon is the leading conversational AI platform empowering every brand to deliver concierge customer experiences.

Our technology enables industry-defining enterprises like Avis Budget Group, Block’s Cash App and Square, Chime, Oura Health, and Hunter Douglas to deploy AI agents that power personalized, deeply satisfying interactions across voice, chat, email, SMS, and every other channel.

We’re building a future where customer experiences are being redefined from support tickets and hold music to faster resolutions, richer conversations, and deeper relationships. We’re proud to be backed by world-class investors who share that vision, including a16z, Accel, Bain Capital Ventures, Coatue, and Index Ventures, along with many others.

We’re an in-office company, driven by a shared commitment to excellence and velocity. Our values — Just Get It Done, Invent What Customers Want, Winner’s Mindset, and The Polymath Principle — shape how we work and grow as a team.

About the Team

This role rolls up into the AI Transformation team, within the broader Finance Org today — though our mandate reaches far beyond it. We're pushing to leverage AI across the entire organization, creating multiples of efficiency in how every function operates. We partner closely across Finance, Accounting, People, Legal, Sales, to partner and develop solutions in a meaningful way. We execute and deliver at extremely fast velocity.

About the Role

Decagon is growing fast — we're looking for a Business Systems Manager to own the implementation, deployment, and maintenance of our ERP, and to drive ownership across our broader systems landscape — Ramp, Navan, TeamOhana, Aleph, and more. This isn't a role about evaluating tools and writing decks. You'll be hands-on, driving the full SDLC across all of these systems while partnering closely with every relevant business stakeholder.

You navigate and thrive in ambiguous environments, constantly iterating to get to best-in-class. You move with urgency, with a clear goal: transforming our systems landscape to be as efficient and effective as possible.

If you're the kind of person who looks at a business system and immediately sees ten ways to make it better — this role was built for you.

In this role, you will

  • Own and scale the company’s business systems ecosystem — including ERP, Ramp, Navan, TeamOhana, Aleph, Variabl and other critical platforms

  • Oversee systems strategy, architecture, configuration, integrations, access governance, data integrity, optimization, and ongoing administration across the organization.

  • Design and maintain end-to-end processes across the full financial and operational lifecycle, closing gaps between upstream tools and the ERP through disciplined integration design.

  • Identify operational bottlenecks across Finance, Accounting, People, and Legal, and deploy automated or AI-powered solutions to reduce manual data entry and error.

  • Lead the rollout of new tools, features, and system upgrades — training teams, running user acceptance testing, and protecting business continuity along the way.

  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, People, Legal, and Engineering to translate business requirements into scalable system solutions, and communicate impact — time saved, cost reduced, errors eliminated — back to leadership.

Your background looks something like this

  • You have 6+ years of hands-on experience administering business systems — ERP, HRIS, spend, and travel platforms

  • You have hands-on experience with AI-native tools and have used them to automate real workflows — you're already using tools like Claude, Claude Code, or Cursor to build and ship solutions, not just experimenting with them.

  • You have deep expertise in end-to-end finance/accounting workflows — AP, AR, GL, month-end close, and consolidations

  • You're comfortable navigating the build vs. buy decision, and know when middleware or an off-the-shelf tool beats a custom build.

  • You align system architecture and business priorities through strong cross-functional collaboration — you build trust quickly with Finance, People, Legal, and every other partner you work with.

  • You have a proven ability to independently drive complex projects under ambiguity and deliver results, without needing formal authority to get things done.

Even better if you have

  • You've led AI transformation initiatives specifically within G&A or back-office functions — you know the common failure modes and how to avoid them.

  • You have a product mindset: you don't just build automations, you build things people actually adopt and love using.
