About Usul

Usul is building the “Amazon for Government”, a world where any company can sell to any government in a few clicks on their computer. Anything from national security tech, space stations, energy infrastructure, healthcare and more.

Our AI platform helps companies identify, pursue, and win the government opportunities they’re most likely to convert and makes it dramatically easier for governments to buy from the private sector.

In 1 year we’ve grown to $5M+ ARR securing Fortune 500 government contractors, the U.S. Army and NATO as customers. We’re now entering the next phase of growth to capture the entire U.S. market and expand to over 60+ allied nations.

We’re building a small, elite team with high standards and low ego. We care about doing whatever it takes, getting better at the craft every week, and being genuinely fun to work with. We’re the youngest team in our world by far. We’re in our 20s running around defense conferences in Usul t-shirts, surrounded by 40 to 60 year olds in suits and military uniforms. People see us as the ambitious AI builders bringing real Silicon Valley energy and modern technology to one of the most traditional industries on earth.

We’re looking for a scrappy government contracting expert who’s ready to eradicate the tools they’ve been forced to use.

You’ll leverage your capture expertise to revolutionize how every government contractor wins business.

What you’ll do:
  • Drive customer success through credibility. When you advise Fortune 500 defense companies on transforming their capture process, they'll listen—because you've sat in their chairs. You know the pain of mining SAM.gov at 2am, wrestling with outdated CRM systems, and watching winnable opportunities slip away.

  • Champion product adoption in the world's most risk-averse and archaic industry. Lead onboardings, pilots, and enterprise rollouts at major defense primes with our customer deployment teams. Your expertise helps customers see past "this is how we've always done it" to envision what's possible with Usul.

  • Be the internal voice of the user that bridges our product and complex government contracting. Your firsthand experience of this data and government contracting workflows will inform everything from customer deployments to product roadmaps to engineering priorities.

What we look for:
  • You have 1-5 years of experience with government contracts, budget tracking, proposal writing, lobbying etc. but you’ve always been pissed with the legacy tools and way things have worked forever

  • Maybe you worked at a prime contractor or a government consultant and have seen the processes for how defense companies win new business end-to-end

  • You know how BD/Capture people think and you’re fired up to revolutionize the way they work

  • You are tech forward, use AI on a daily basis (don’t have to know how to code) → just familiar with the frontier technology and excited to implement it within these legacy defense enterprises
