Build and scale Shakudo's consultant partner channel via high-volume outbound outreach. Identify, recruit, onboard, and coach independent consultants and advisors to generate partner-sourced meetings and pipeline. Track partner conversion and collaborate with sales and marketing to refine messaging and hit targets for signed partners and partner-sourced qualified meetings.

At Shakudo, we are building the world’s first operating system for data and AI. We use the term operating system in the truest sense of the word. Like iOS, Windows and Linux, Shakudo’s end-to-end OS offers ever-evolving, automatically operated, best-of-breed open-source components tailored to each business's unique needs.

As we scale our go-to-market, we’re looking for a Channel BDR to build and grow our partner channel from the ground up. This is a unique BDR-adjacent role where your primary mission is outbound—finding, engaging, and signing up independent consultants and advisors who work with CIOs, CTOs, VPs, and other technology leaders at large enterprises.

Think of it as sales meets ecosystem building: you’ll be the person who goes out and recruits the consultants who already have the ear of the tech executives we want to reach. Each consultant you sign up becomes a Shakudo partner, leveraging their existing relationships to open doors and generate qualified meetings. The more partners you recruit and the more results they drive, the more you succeed.

Why this role?
Shakudo has strong product-market fit, and our customers are building some of the most innovative data products in the market. We want to amplify our reach through a partner channel—and we need someone who thrives on high-volume outreach to build it.

This isn’t your typical BDR role:
Directly shape a new channel: You’ll be the first dedicated hire building Shakudo’s consultant partner network.
High-volume, high-impact outbound: You’ll make a lot of calls and send a lot of messages—and every partner you sign up compounds your impact.
Fast track to channel leadership: Prove the model and grow into a leadership role managing the partner ecosystem.

Shakudo offers a high-impact package: competitive salary, meaningful equity so you share in the upside of transformational technology, and comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage. More importantly, you'll work on technology that matters.

This role is based onsite to support the high security requirements of our clients and enable effective collaboration. Our culture is intense, focused, and fast-paced—we move quickly and hold ourselves to a high bar. We expect high ownership: you will be hands-on, driving outcomes directly rather than delegating or waiting for direction. Individual contribution matters here—your work will have a visible, measurable impact on the company’s growth. We have a welcoming office environment, fully stocked with snacks, regular team outings, and a team that is deeply driven by the work we do together.

Shakudo is an equal opportunity employer and encourages candidates of all backgrounds to apply. We foster diversity and inclusivity and welcome applications from a broad range of backgrounds and experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the full cycle of partner recruitment: identify, outreach, qualify, and sign up independent consultants and advisors as Shakudo channel partners.
  • Execute high-volume outbound (calls, emails, LinkedIn) to find consultants who advise technology executives at mid-market and enterprise companies.
  • Educate prospective partners on the Shakudo value proposition and the mutual benefits of the partnership program—including contingency-based bonuses tied to the meetings and deals they generate.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of partner prospects; track conversion from outreach to signed partner to partner-sourced meetings.
  • Build strong relationships with signed partners and help them succeed—coaching them on how to position Shakudo to their executive contacts.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to refine messaging, ideal partner profiles, and partner engagement strategies.
  • Hit and exceed targets for both number of partners signed and partner-sourced qualified meetings.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in high-volume outbound sales, business development, or channel/partnership development
  • Proven track record of hitting outreach and pipeline targets through cold calling and multi-channel prospecting
  • Comfortable making a large volume of calls and outreach daily—you have the energy and discipline for high-activity selling
  • Experience working with or selling to consultants, advisors, system integrators, or channel partners is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with data/AI/ML infrastructure, IT solutions, or enterprise technology sales
  • Excellent communication skills—ability to quickly articulate value and build trust with experienced professionals
  • Highly organized; proficient with CRM (Hubspot), LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Slack, and GSuite
  • Curious and resourceful—able to research industries and identify the right consultants to approach
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Willingness to work onsite in Menlo Park, CA
