Making the metals powering the world

Solcoa is building the next generation of American metalmaking, starting with rare earths — the metals of power and motion. We've developed a new chemistry that converts rare earth oxides into high-purity metals — the materials inside every EV, fighter jet, wind turbine, and data center — cleaner, cheaper, and faster than any conventional process. Now we're scaling it to thousands of tonnes of annual production.

The role

We're hiring a Chief Commercial Officer to lead Solcoa's sales, customer relationships, and commercial partnerships. Reporting to the CEO, you will turn customer demand into signed agreements and recurring revenue as we scale production. This is a hands-on role: you will win customers, close deals, and build the commercial team.

What you’ll do
  • Set commercial strategy and focus on the customers and markets that matter most.

  • Build relationships with magnet manufacturers, industrial customers, and strategic partners.

  • Lead sales from first conversation through product qualification, contract negotiation, and repeat orders.

  • Negotiate pricing, supply agreements, and long-term offtakes.

  • Work with technical and operations teams to align customer requirements with production and delivery.

  • Own the sales pipeline and revenue forecast, and build the commercial team as we grow.

What you bring
  • A track record of closing deals and growing revenue in rare earths, metals, advanced materials, or related industrial markets.

  • Experience negotiating supply agreements and managing technical sales and customer qualification.

  • Strong judgment on pricing, margins, and contract terms.

  • The ability to build a commercial function from scratch and stay directly involved in customer work.

  • Existing relationships across the rare earth and magnet supply chain are a plus.

  • Willingness to travel to customers and partners.

Benefits
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.

  • Company-provided lunch daily.

  • Visa sponsorship available if needed.
