C3 AI is seeking a visionary and execution-oriented Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead our global marketing strategy. As we enter the next phase of growth driven by the rapid adoption of Generative and Agentic AI, the CMO will play a pivotal role in distinguishing C3 AI’s industrial-grade, secure, and hallucination-free solutions from the noise of the broader market.

This is not a traditional marketing role. You will be a strategic partner to the CEO and the Executive Leadership Team, responsible for translating complex model-driven architectures into compelling business narratives that resonate with the C-Suite of the Global 2000. You will oversee all aspects of marketing—from brand positioning and product marketing to high-velocity demand generation and partner ecosystem development.

Responsibilities

  • Define and articulate C3 AI’s unique value proposition as the only true Enterprise AI platform, distinct from hyperscalers and generic LLM providers.
  • Own the narrative around C3 Generative AI and Agentic AI, ensuring the market understands our differentiation in security, reliability, and data governance.
  • Drive thought leadership that positions C3 AI as the "adults in the room" for AI adoption in critical sectors like Defense, Energy, Manufacturing, and Government.
  • Architect and execute a data-driven demand generation engine that feeds a high-velocity sales pipeline.
  • Partner closely with Global Sales leadership to align marketing KPIs with revenue targets, focusing on pipeline velocity, conversion rates, and customer acquisition costs (CAC).
  • Oversee Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies targeting Fortune 500 and Global 2000 decision-makers.
  • Lead the Product Marketing team to distill deep technical capabilities (e.g., the C3 Type System, Model-Driven Architecture) into clear, quantifiable business value.
  • Orchestrate high-impact product launches and major events (e.g., C3 Transform) that showcase customer success stories and technological breakthroughs.
  • Equip the sales force with rigorous competitive intelligence and sales enablement assets.
  • Deepen strategic marketing alliances with major partners (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Baker Hughes) to drive co-sell opportunities and marketplace consumption.
  • Expand the C3 AI developer community and ecosystem through targeted technical content and developer relations.
  • Build, mentor, and retain a world-class marketing organization characterized by high intensity, analytical rigor, and creative excellence.
  • Manage the global marketing budget with a focus on ROI and attribution.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of marketing leadership experience in B2B Enterprise Software, with at least 5 years in a CMO or VP-level role at a public or high-growth SaaS/AI company.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Physics is highly preferred, or a demonstrated ability to grasp and communicate complex technical concepts (AI/ML, distributed systems, cloud architecture).
  • Experience scaling revenue from $500M to $1B+ through integrated marketing programs.
  • You must be comfortable leading with metrics. Decisions should be based on data, not intuition.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft narratives that command attention.
  • You thrive in an in-office, high-bandwidth environment. You are resilient, detail-oriented, and possess a "whatever it takes" attitude.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future company sponsorship.

C3 AI provides excellent benefits, a competitive compensation package and generous equity plan.
