About the Team

The Office of the CRO is responsible for orchestrating OpenAI’s global go-to-market (GTM) motion, driving scalable commercial growth, and deepening strategic customer relationships. We empower the CRO with operational clarity, executive alignment, and organizational leverage—ensuring OpenAI’s revenue teams move with speed, discipline, and cohesion. Our work is central to OpenAI’s ability to deploy AI products responsibly and at scale.

About the Role

As Chief of Staff to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), you will act as a strategic force multiplier—enabling coordinated, high-impact execution across the revenue organization and broader OpenAI ecosystem. You’ll help unify strategy, operations, and communications for the CRO, ensuring alignment with C-Suite leadership, accelerating commercial opportunities, and elevating OpenAI’s presence with global customers.

This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.

In this role, you will:
  • Translate CRO vision into clear priorities and ensure execution across the GTM organization.

  • Build and run operating models for the Office of the CRO, including workflows, decision frameworks, and planning rhythms.

  • Lead strategic CRO customer programs, including executive briefings, innovation forums, and global customer engagements.

  • Partner cross-functionally to scale GTM operations and embed customer insights into executive decisions.

  • Manage CRO-level communications and external visibility, including executive updates and thought leadership.

You might thrive in this role if you:
  • Are an exceptional cross-functional operator with strong executive presence and decision-making support experience.

  • Excel at creating scalable systems that drive strategic clarity and operational execution.

  • Bring a strong understanding of GTM motions, customer engagement, and enterprise SaaS dynamics.

  • Are energized by fast-paced, high-impact environments where you can influence at the highest levels.
