Who We Are

Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together. We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.

Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.

About the Role:

As Chief of Staff you'll be the strategic copilot to Notion's Global Head of Sales. You'll work directly with our Global Head of Sales on the complex problems and decisions that drive our sales engine.

You'll thrive in this role if you enjoy being at the center of global sales strategy. Whether that's preparing for board meetings, facilitating cross-functional alignment, or representing the sales organization with key stakeholders.

We're looking for someone who gets energized by revolutionary sales challenges like balancing self-serve and enterprise motions, transforming our business motions internally and externally with AI, and identifying new market opportunities. If you can seamlessly shift between analyzing business metrics, facilitating executive decision-making, and strong project management execution - this role is for you! We’re looking for someone who is low ego, high motor, excited to roll up their sleeves, and ready to make an impact!

This role can be based in either San Francisco or New York City. We work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (our Anchor Days) because we do our best thinking and building together in person. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to work alongside the team during those days.

What You'll Achieve:
  • Serve as the Global Head of Sales’ trusted partner. You'll help prepare for board meetings, facilitate executive decision-making, and represent the sales org with internal & external stakeholders.

  • Act as a strategic connector for the Sales organization. You'll use your cross-functional knowledge to identify trends, connect dots for stakeholders, and drive increased alignment between teams. This includes working across GTM teams as well as with close partners in EPD, Finance, People, and Legal.

  • Lead cross-functional projects. You'll run cross functional projects and forums to increase alignment for sales. This includes leading our sales organization planning and reporting.

  • Identify and drive forward global sales strategy. You’ll run analysis on the Notion business and opportunities to deepen customer deployments. Through this work you’ll identify opportunities and provide recommendations for the sales business as it continues to grow and scale. In some cases you’ll own the execution of the strategy too.

  • Drive our rhythm of business. You’ll play a key role in driving the weekly sales Leads meeting, spearheading quarterly Sales Lead offsites, and working closely with the Global Head of Sales on regular communications to the sales org.

Skills You'll Need to Bring:
  • 8+ years experience in senior sales or sales adjacent leadership roles

  • You have previously worked with, advised, and influenced senior executives

  • You seamlessly swap back and forth between strategic thinking and operational details

  • You’re extremely organized and strong in project management - experience leading initiatives from inception through execution

  • You dive deep into projects individually as well as know when to delegate and empower teammates

  • You’re a pace setter, you have previous success operating in fast paced B2B SaaS environments

  • You’re strong and comfortable with both written and verbal communications, a super power is making complex topics sound simple

  • You’re a self starter, you don’t ask for permission - you make it happen

  • You’re a problem solver who leverages first principles thinking and focuses on what’s best for Notion and our customers

  • You’ve started to adopt AI to help you spend more time on the work that matters

Nice to Haves:
  • Background in management consulting, strategy, or operations

  • Experience working in GTM or directly reporting to the C-suite

  • Experience driving initiatives that serve both PLG and Enterprise Sales motions

  • Familiar with using Notion as a product

  • AI power user

A Note on AI

You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.
