About the Role:

Demandbase is seeking a Chief of Staff to serve as a trusted strategic advisor to the CEO and executive team. This is a critical leadership position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, AI-driven B2B SaaS environment and is passionate about building operational rigor and driving transformational impact and change. In this role, you will be the force behind enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment, communication, and flawless execution across the company.

The base compensation range for this position for candidates in the SF Bay Area is: $255,000 - $319,000. For all other locations, the base compensation range is based on the primary work location of the candidate as our ranges are location specific. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skillset, years of experience, and depth of experience.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning

  • Partner with the CEO to define and execute the company’s strategic vision and annual priorities.
  • Leverage data-driven insights and a deep understanding of the competitive landscape.

Enterprise Program Management

  • Lead high-priority projects on behalf of the CEO.
  • Establish and maintain project management frameworks that drive decision-making, alignment, and accountability.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee the development and execution of operational processes and programs, such as OKRs, Horizon Planning, and QBRs.
  • Ensure consistent accountability and tracking across the business.

Executive Team Support

  • Collaborate closely with the CEO to prepare for key meetings and conferences.
  • Act as connective tissue between the CEO and E-team, driving alignment and fostering consensus.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with the Communications team to ensure consistency in narrative across CEO communications, E-team updates, and company-wide messaging,etc.
  • Act as a trusted partner to functional leaders.
  • Foster collaboration and alignment on company-wide initiatives, ensuring priorities are well-communicated and executed.

Management of Executive Assistant Team

  • Manage and develop the administrative team to maximize their effectiveness and productivity. 
  • Ensure smooth operations and communication within the executive office.

Internal Events

  • Oversee planning and execution of key internal events such as All-Hands meetings, offsites, and leadership summits.
  • Partner with functional leaders to ensure events foster engagement, alignment, and cultural reinforcement.
  • Drive consistency in messaging and ensure these events reflect the company’s vision and priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience in consulting, finance, strategic planning, or similar project management experience in a technology company.
  • Strategic & Analytical Mindset: Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proven track record of applying data-driven insights to shape business decisions and outcomes.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, influence without direct authority, and build strong relationships across diverse stakeholders.
  • Executive Communications: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and distill complex information into clear, concise messaging.
  • Detail-Oriented with Strategic Perspective: Strong attention to detail while maintaining the ability to connect insights to broader strategic goals.
  • Operational Expertise: Hands-on experience managing company-level operating rhythms such as OKRs, QBRs, and Board communications.
  • Program & Project Management: Proven ability to scope, lead, and deliver multiple complex initiatives in fast-paced environments, ensuring accountability and high-quality outcomes.
  • Technology Industry Knowledge: Proven track record with strategic and operational planning in technology or SaaS organizations, or equivalent management consulting experience.
  • Action-Oriented & Adaptable: Proactive, resourceful, and flexible, with a “no task is too big or too small” approach to driving execution.
  • Interpersonal skills: Exceptional emotional intelligence and discretion in managing executive-level relationships and organizational dynamics.

Preferred:

  • MBA or equivalent.
  • B2B SaaS background.
  • 2 + years of experience with team leadership/management.
