The Chip Production Test Engineer will develop and manage test programs for semiconductor products, oversee production testing, analyze data for improvements, and collaborate across teams for quality assurance.
Ready to make connectivity from space universally accessible, secure and actionable? Then you’ve come to the right place!
E-Space is bridging Earth and space to enable hyper-scaled deployments of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions and services. We are building a highly-advanced low Earth orbit (LEO) space system that will fundamentally change the design, economics, manufacturing and service delivery associated with traditional satellite and terrestrial IoT systems.
We’re intentional, we’re unapologetically curious and we’re 100% committed to innovate space-based communications and deliver actionable intelligence that will expand global economies, protect space and our planet and enhance our overall quality of life.
We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Chip Production Test Engineer to lead the development, execution, and oversight of production test programs for advanced semiconductor products. The ideal candidate will have deep familiarity with ATE platforms such as the Advantest V93000 (Verigy 93K) and will be responsible for creating and optimizing test programs, supervising test operations on the production floor, and analyzing test data to continuously improve product yield and quality.
What you will do
- Develop and maintain ATE test programs for production testing on Verigy 93K or equivalent test platforms.
- Collaborate with design and characterization teams to define pass/fail criteria and test limits based on silicon behavior and performance.
- Bring-up and validate initial production test programs in both engineering and production environments.
- Work directly on the test floor, overseeing and troubleshooting test execution, and ensuring smooth operation during high-volume production.
- Analyze test data using statistical methods (e.g., yield analysis, parametric trends, failure correlation) to identify root causes of failures and performance issues.
- Provide feedback to design, DFT, and product engineering teams for continuous improvement of test coverage, performance, and yield.
- Drive test time reduction, cost optimization, and quality enhancements for production test flows.
- Support NPI (New Product Introduction) by interfacing with operations, product and quality teams.
- Participate in cross-functional reviews to assess and refine test strategy and production readiness.
- Ensure adherence to industry and internal quality standards and support audits and compliance requirements.
What you bring to this role
- 3+ years' experience in semiconductor test engineering, preferably with ATE systems like Advantest V93000 (Verigy 93K).
- Proficient in test program development, debugging, and optimization for ATE platforms.
- Solid understanding of digital, analog, or mixed-signal test methodologies.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., JMP, Python, Excel, custom scripts) for yield and failure analysis.
- Strong grasp of semiconductor device behavior and production test flow requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively across engineering, operations, and QA teams.
- Experience with DFT and scan test integration is a plus.
- Self-driven with strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Extra bonus points for the following:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
