About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

We are seeking a seasoned and ambitious Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to architect and lead our global marketing initiatives for a multi-billion dollar Salesforce business. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a proven track record in scaling marketing operations, generating demand and pipeline, and fostering customer and brand loyalty in a competitive MarTech environment. The candidate must balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution and be primed to foster a culture of data-driven, results-oriented, innovative marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Category Design & Market Education: Design, socialize, and execute a global marketing strategy that is in sync with the company's growth goals. You are not just marketing a product; you are defining the post-automation era. You must articulate why the industry must shift from "static journeys" to "autonomous agents," simplifying this complex paradigm shift for a non-technical CMO audience.

  • Pipeline and Demand Generation: Build and maintain a robust demand generation engine to ensure a healthy, constantly progressing pipeline that aligns with the sales objectives. Oversee the creation and execution of high-impact, multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive marketing and sales qualified leads, and ultimately, customer acquisition and expansion.

  • Marketing Operations and Analytics: Optimize marketing operations to ensure efficiency, scalability, and predictable lead flow. Utilize data analytics to monitor, measure, and analyze performance, ensuring the maximum ROI on initiatives.

  • Product Marketing & Technical Storytelling: Work closely with product and sales teams to create differentiated product positioning. You must possess the ability to translate deep technical capabilities (Data Cloud, AI reasoning, APIs) into simple, outcome-based business value, bridging the gap between IT’s data requirements and Marketing’s creative aspirations.

  • Content and Thought Leadership: Lead the creation and distribution of thought leadership and content marketing assets to nurture leads and engage customers, establishing authority in the evolving landscape of AI-driven marketing.

  • Brand Stewardship: Work with our global brand team to enhance and safeguard the company's brand positioning globally, ensuring a consistent and resonant brand message across all touchpoints. Expand the Agentforce brand within the Marketing Technology market.

  • Team Leadership and Development: Recruit, mentor, and empower a high-performance marketing team, instilling a culture of accountability, urgency, and collaboration.

  • Budget Management: Manage a marketing budget meticulously to ensure optimal allocation and utilization of resources.

  • Industry Trends and Competitive Analysis: Deeply understand MarTech industry trends, emerging AI technologies, and competitive landscapes to maintain a formidable edge in the market.

Requirements

  • Data and results-driven leader with a successful track record of driving global marketing teams at scale.

  • "Marketer-to-Marketer" Fluency: Experience acting as the primary face of a brand to the marketing community. You must be comfortable engaging peers (other CMOs) not just as a salesperson, but as a credible thought partner who understands the pressure of their seat.

  • Demonstrable passion for Marketing Technology and the ability to understand complex technologies (CMOs and Marketers), and applied use-cases.

  • Flexibility — the tempo at Salesforce is fast and pivots quickly. You must be able to lead your team in this high-urgency environment, and you need to personally thrive in such an environment.

  • Proven ability to craft and articulate value propositions tailored to varying industry and customer needs, specifically for the Marketing buyer.

  • Proven ability to design and execute high performance, integrated marketing campaigns.

  • Equivalent of 15+ years of marketing experience with a record of an ever-increasing scope of responsibilities.

  • People-focused leader with provided ability to build diverse, creative, and collaborative teams; develop people; and link performance to overall high-growth business objectives.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to engage and influence people cross-functionally, including Product, Sales, and other Marketing teams.
