Summary:
Create Mill and Lathe Programs from Customer drawings and CAD files for a variety of CNC machines using CAM software, while meeting business unit quality requirements.  Working with extremely tight tolerances as we are working in Medical Device and Aerospace industries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
• Develop programs for CNC mills and lathes, maximizing quality and output
• Write programs for 3, 4, and 5 axis machining centers including complex surfaces
• Create user friendly programs for minimally skilled operators, with focus on ease of use
• Troubleshoot and edit programs at machines as required
• Provide tooling and fixturing recommendations as applicable
• Maintain electronic files for all programs
• Continually works to improve and optimize programs
• Creates PO requisitions to order material, cutters, tooling, ect for new jobs
• Create documentation necessary to manufacture parts
• Stays current with the latest technology and software upgrades
• Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, vendors and customers.
• Perform safe operation of machines
• Read and understand drawings, specifications, and documentation
• Complete all required paperwork
• Keep work area clean and organized at all times
• Abide by and support all safety and quality system requirements
• Provide good feedback and promote good communication

Education and/or Experience:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Requires great attention to detail and the ability to read drawings and specifications
• Previous experience machining or programming required
Language Skills:
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Reasoning Ability:
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
