The Work You'll Do:

As a Commercial Account Executive at Sovos, you'll be a key driver of our growth—bringing our industry-leading compliance solutions to new clients and helping them solve real business challenges. Tax compliance isn't optional, and organizations need what we offer to operate legally and efficiently. That's where you come in.

You'll own the full sales cycle from initial qualification through close, building relationships, navigating complex deals, and partnering with teams across Sales, Legal, and Finance to deliver results. If you're motivated by winning, energized by client conversations, and ready to build your career in a high-growth SaaS environment, this is your opportunity.

More specifically, you will:

  • Prospect within your assigned territory to generate leads and grow pipeline opportunities
  • Sell and promote SaaS solutions to new accounts, clearly articulating the value propositions of Sovos' products and services
  • Develop and execute strategic opportunity plans that drive quota attainment
  • Manage end-to-end sales cycles from initial qualification (BFRC) to close
  • Lead contract negotiations and maintain accurate records in sales force automation tools
  • Leverage resources effectively throughout the sales cycle on strategic deals
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to share ideas and develop new business strategies
  • Utilize multiple communication methods to engage prospects and clients effectively
  • Demonstrate strong time management, prioritization, and territory planning skills
  • Ask insightful questions to understand client needs and uncover opportunities
  • Act as a role model and mentor across the organization, sharing best practices and effective messaging
  • Maintain a continuous learning mindset—actively participating in trainings, webinars, and seeking insights from Support and other teams
  • Act with integrity and demonstrate ethical behavior in all interactions with stakeholders
  • Take full responsibility for ensuring internal and external client satisfaction

What We Need From You

  • 1-3 years of experience in a BDR, quota-carrying sales role, or similar position; software solution sales preferred
  • Ability to navigate and manage end-to-end sales cycles
  • Knowledge of contact management solutions, preferably Salesforce.com
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to lead team meetings
  • Effective time management and territory planning abilities
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn from colleagues, internal partners, and client experiences
  • Ability to comprehend and communicate complex concepts
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Minimal travel required (less than 25%) both domestic and international to Sovos locations and events
  • Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire
