The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Commercial Account Representative to join our commercial sales team. In this role, you’ll manage and grow a portfolio of commercial clients and prospects, build trusted relationships, and help organizations strengthen their cybersecurity posture through tailored solutions and services.

In this role, you’ll combine business development, relationship management, and disciplined sales execution to support client satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth in a fast-moving cybersecurity market.

This position is open to candidates based in Calgary, Vancouver, or Winnipeg.

What You’ll Do

As a key member of our commercial sales team, you’ll help grow iON’s commercial business by developing pipeline, building client relationships, and advancing cybersecurity opportunities through the sales cycle. In this role, you will:

  • Build and grow a healthy commercial sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, referrals, lead follow-up, and account development.
  • Develop trusted relationships with clients and prospects by understanding their business priorities, cybersecurity needs, and operational goals.
  • Identify, qualify, and advance cybersecurity opportunities that support client outcomes, revenue growth, and margin goals.
  • Lead discovery conversations and coordinate internal resources to shape tailored cybersecurity solutions.
  • Prepare or coordinate proposals, presentations, quotes, and client communications that clearly demonstrate iON’s value.
  • Support responses to RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs in collaboration with sales, technical, and service delivery teams.
  • Maintain accurate client, activity, opportunity, forecast, and next-step information in Salesforce.
  • Partner with Account Managers, Senior Account Executives, Pre-Sales team, technical teams, marketing, service delivery, vendors, and external partners to deliver strong client solutions.
  • Share client insights, prospect feedback, competitive observations, and market information to support strategic sales initiatives and team growth.

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who brings a customer-first mindset, strong sales discipline, and the ability to build trust with clients and colleagues. Ideally, you have:

  • 5+ years of account management, sales, business development, or client-facing experience, with two or more years of cybersecurity-related sales experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting sales cycles, managing client relationships, developing pipeline, and contributing to successful deal closures.
  • Experience in IT, cybersecurity, technology, telecommunications, SaaS, or professional services is considered an asset.
  • Strong consultative selling, prospecting, relationship-building, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • The ability to understand client priorities and communicate the business value of cybersecurity services and solutions.
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, follow through on commitments, and maintain accurate sales information.
  • Comfort using Excel, Outlook, Word, Salesforce, and related sales tools.
  • A commitment to continuous learning through cybersecurity, product, sales, and industry training or certification.
