About the Role

Persona is seeking a junior attorney to provide support on commercial matters. As Associate Commercial Counsel, you’ll have a broad range of responsibilities providing legal guidance on commercial matters. First and foremost, you will be responsible for managing and negotiating commercial relationships that contribute to our success, including vendor and sales contracts. Knowledge of relevant state and international privacy laws including CCPA and GDPR is a plus. This role will be located in our San Francisco office and you will be expected to be in the office three times per week.

What you'll do at Persona
  • Draft and negotiate commercial agreements involving the company’s products and services including nondisclosure agreements and sales agreements.

  • Work directly with the sales team to complete sales negotiations swiftly while still protecting the company.

  • Negotiate vendor agreements.

  • Draft, update and maintain form agreements.

  • Provide advice to the Post-Sales team regarding customer issues.

  • Provide general support as needed including on non-commercial matters, which may include assisting with drafting internal policies and implementing related processes.

What you'll bring to Persona
  • 2- 4 years of relevant legal experience in a law firm or similar environment

  • A J.D. and active membership in at least one state bar

  • Experience with commercial negotiation and drafting skills

  • Good judgment and an ability to learn quickly with minimal guidance

  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage projects effectively
