A little about us

incident.io is the leading AI incident response platform, relied on by some of the best engineering teams in the world when things go wrong.

Since launching in 2021, we've helped over 2,000 companies, including OpenAI, Netflix, and Airbnb, run more than 1 million incidents.

The stakes are real, the talent is insane, and somehow it's a genuinely lovely place to work. We all pull our weight, go the extra mile, and put in the bit of magic most companies don't have time for, all while having fun and never taking ourselves too seriously.

We've raised $96 million from Index Ventures, Insight Partners, and Point Nine, and we're growing fast. There's never been a better time to join.

The role in one line

Being a Commercial Manager at incident.io means hiring, coaching, and enabling talent that will grow into our future leaders and enterprise sellers.

What that looks like day to day

Our Commercial business is one of the fastest growing parts of incident.io, covering early stage startups through upper mid market companies across North America. As Commercial AE Manager, you're building and leading the team driving that growth — based in San Francisco, with reps covering the full North America patch.

Day to day, you're in the trenches with your team: running deal reviews, sitting in on discovery calls, coaching reps through their toughest negotiations, and holding a forecasting rhythm that's tight enough to trust. You're raising the bar on outbound excellence and deal execution, and putting in place the structure and coaching that makes strong performance repeatable, not accidental.

You'll work closely with our Head of Commercial Sales and CRO to shape how we win, and partner across Marketing, RevOps, Product, CS, Legal, and Finance — from building pipeline to navigating complex deals to closing them. This isn't a role where you set a process once and walk away; you're constantly spotting patterns in deals and rep behavior, and turning what you see into sharper coaching and better systems.

This is a foundational GTM seat. You'll have real proximity to executive leadership and a direct hand in scaling our Commercial business from where we are today to well beyond — building the bench of AEs who become incident's next enterprise sellers and leaders.

Who you are
  • You've led a high-velocity SMB or Commercial sales team at a fast-growing B2B SaaS company, and you've got the numbers to show your team hit quota consistently.

  • You know full-cycle SaaS selling inside and out — you can jump into a rep's discovery call and immediately spot what's working and what's not.

  • You love hiring. You know what raw talent looks like before it's polished, and you're energized by the process of turning it into your next star seller.

  • You're a pattern-spotter. You notice the thing that's happening across three deals before anyone else does, and you turn it into coaching or process before it becomes a habit.

  • You want to be close to the business, not removed from it — you're excited by proximity to execs and having a real say in how we scale.

  • You build systems because you want consistency, not because you love process for its own sake — the goal is always a team that performs, not a binder that looks nice.

  • You're comfortable operating across a lot of moving parts — Marketing, RevOps, Product, CS, Legal, Finance — and you know how to get what your team needs from each of them.

Supporting you

We work hard and we think life outside work matters just as much. Our benefits pack is built to support both.

  • Market-leading private medical insurance. The proper kind, so you're never weighing up your health against a bill.

  • Competitive PTO. Showing up at your best requires switching off, and we make sure you have time to do that.

  • First Friday of every month off. Yes, seriously.

  • Enhanced 401k. We put real money in, because future-you deserves better than an afterthought.

  • Meaningful equity. We're rapidly scaling, and everyone who helps shape the outcome should share in it.

  • Unlimited AI spend. For everyone, not just engineers. We're all-in on AI across the company, and we expect you to be too.

  • Generous parental leave. The early days with a new baby matter more than anything we're doing here, and we want you to be present for them.

  • Two budgets that have your back. $1000 to invest in your setup, $500 a year to invest in yourself.
