About Mercor

Mercor is at the intersection of labor markets and AI research. We partner with leading AI labs and enterprises to provide the human intelligence essential to AI development.

Our vast talent network trains frontier AI models in the same way teachers teach students: by sharing knowledge, experience, and context that can't be captured in code alone. Today, more than 30,000 experts in our network collectively earn over $1.5 million a day.

Mercor is creating a new category of work where expertise powers AI advancement. Achieving this requires an ambitious, fast-paced and deeply committed team. You’ll work alongside researchers, operators, and AI companies at the forefront of shaping the systems that are redefining society.

Mercor is a profitable Series C company valued at $10 billion. We work in-person five days a week in our new San Francisco headquarters.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Community & Marketing Manager to design, launch, and scale Mercor’s global community across digital platforms. You’ll build integrated online programs that grow engagement, foster connection among experts, and elevate Mercor’s presence across social media, partnerships, and content channels.

This role is highly cross-functional and external-facing. Its ideal for a builder who thrives at the intersection of operations, community, and digital storytelling.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop community engagement programs for different expert segments (ex. clinicians, AI researchers, legal specialists).

  • Develop and execute Mercor’s community strategy across social platforms (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, YouTube, Discord, etc.)

  • Create and manage content pipelines, from highlight clips and thought-leadership posts to product launch campaigns and community spotlights.

  • Run multi-channel marketing campaigns across social, email, and partnerships to grow awareness, referrals, and inbound participation.

  • Collaborate with Product & Engineering to translate launches and updates into compelling public narratives and visual content.

  • Empower advocates and ambassadors to share Mercor content and host lightweight online sessions or AMAs.

  • Track performance and community health metrics, i.e. engagement rates, sentiment, and referrals.

  • Manage social brand voice and consistency, ensuring that tone and visuals align with Mercor’s positioning in the AI and talent ecosystem.

About You
  • Experienced in social media and community management, ideally for a tech company or high-growth startup.

  • High EQ, excellent communicator, comfortable projecting in crowds and in one-to-one settings.

  • Familiar with technology environments and up-to-date on AI trends.

  • Skilled at content strategy, copywriting, and storytelling, especially for professional or technical audiences.

  • Define success metrics, track results, and iterate with data.

  • Built something from zero (company, club, conference, creator community).

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred — Business, Economics, Marketing, or similar.

Bonus Points
  • Experience engaging professional audiences like physicians, lawyers, researchers, or senior engineers.

  • Familiarity with Airtable/Sheets, Notion, Figma, Canva, Eventbrite/Luma/Splash, HubSpot/Marketo.

  • An existing online or IRL audience.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary: $120K–$200K

  • Quarterly performance bonus

  • Generous equity grant vested over 4 years

  • Comprehensive benefits package

  • $20K relocation bonus (if moving to the Bay Area)

  • $10K housing bonus (if you live within 0.5 miles of our office)

  • $1K monthly meal stipend

  • Free Equinox membership

  • Health insurance

  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
