At Fieldpiece, we build professional HVACR tools and instruments that technicians rely on every day to make their jobs easier, faster, and better. As a privately held, global company, we're committed to innovation, continued growth, and creating an environment where talented people can thrive. Named one of the Best Places to Work in Southern California for four consecutive years, we're looking for people who want to make a meaningful impact while growing their careers.

Great companies invest in their people, and competitive, thoughtful compensation and benefits programs are an important part of that commitment.  We're hiring an experienced Compensation & Benefits Analyst to help shape and manage the programs that attract, reward, and retain our employees. This is a highly visible, hands-on role with the opportunity to influence compensation strategies, improve benefits offerings, administer incentive programs, and strengthen the systems and analytics that support our growing organization.

You'll partner closely with HR leadership, Finance, Sales, and external partners, turning complex data into meaningful insights and practical solutions. If you enjoy digging into data, improving processes, and balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution, this is an opportunity to make a real difference.

What You'll Do

  • Shape compensation strategy: Develop and maintain competitive salary structures, pay ranges, and compensation practices that support internal equity and market competitiveness.
  • Turn market data into insights: Conduct compensation benchmarking, analyze market trends, and recommend salary adjustments using compensation surveys and industry data.
  • Drive compensation planning: Coordinate annual merit, promotion, and market adjustment processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business priorities.
  • Manage incentive programs: Design, calculate, and administer sales commission plans and other incentive programs.
  • Optimize employee benefits: Administer health, welfare, retirement, and wellness programs while identifying opportunities to improve offerings and manage costs.
  • Partner with benefits providers: Manage relationships with brokers, carriers, and vendors, including annual renewals, Open Enrollment, and employee communications.
  • HCM administration: Serve as the primary administrator for our HCM system, maintaining data integrity, workflows, reporting, and system enhancements.
  • Deliver actionable analytics: Develop dashboards, compensation reports, and workforce metrics that help HR and business leaders make informed decisions.
  • Improve how we work: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance reporting, strengthen data accuracy, and improve the employee experience.
  • Ensure compliance: Support compensation, benefits, and HR compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in compensation, benefits, total rewards, or HR analytics, with hands-on experience in compensation analysis and benchmarking.
  • Strong understanding of salary structures, market pricing, compensation planning, and benefits administration.
  • Experience administering or supporting HCM/HRIS systems, including data management, reporting, and process improvements.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and analyzing complex datasets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills, with strong attention to detail and discretion when handling confidential information.

Even Better If You Have:

  • Experience with Paycom and/or Workday.
  • Familiarity with Mercer compensation surveys or similar market benchmarking tools.
  • Experience designing or administering sales commission and incentive compensation plans.
  • Experience supporting multi-state organizations, particularly in California.
  • CCP, CEBS, SHRM, or PHR/SPHR certification.

What Success Looks Like

You'll help ensure our compensation programs remain competitive and equitable, our benefits deliver value to employees, and our HR systems provide reliable information that supports better business decisions. You'll become a trusted partner to HR and business leaders, bringing analytical expertise, sound judgment, and a continuous improvement mindset to everything you do.

Why You'll Enjoy Working at Fieldpiece

  • As a privately held company, we invest for the long term—in our people, our products, and our future. That means we can focus on innovation, continuous improvement, and building lasting careers rather than chasing short-term results.
