As an Risk Management & Compliance (RM&C) Lead working within the Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk (CCOR) organization supporting Responsible Banking, you will champion the firm's business principles to treating customers fairly by partnering with Line of Business and global/regional CCOR and Legal teams to ensure quality products and services are delivered in accordance with these principles.
Job Responsibilities
- Identify potential concerns and control gaps, determine the root cause of issues, and ensure stakeholders develop and implement appropriate corrective actions
- Execute on key strategic Compliance initiatives within the context of the firm’s global compliance mandate
- Work collaboratively with team members across LOBs and staff areas and participate actively in working groups
- Develop compliance monitoring and testing plans and execute them, manage policy and training initiatives
- Operate as a subject matter expert by providing independent oversight and risk analysis against business plans of action driven by legislative change, regulatory guidance, or industry focus
- Engage with business, CCOR, and Legal partners on an ongoing basis to provide subject matter expertise related to responsible banking laws and regulation
- Stay informed of impacts to your coverage area, including existing and emerging issues, complaint volumes and trending, applicable legal obligations, and risk assessments of in-scope lines-of-business
- Assess compliance risks, identifying control gaps, determining root causes, and driving corrective action through issue management processes.
- Develop and execute compliance monitoring, testing, risk assessment, oversight, or control evaluation activities.
- Manage multiple priorities and highly sensitive information in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Synthesize information from multiple internal and external sources into actionable risk insights, reporting, and recommendations for stakeholders.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- 5+ years of relevant Compliance or related experience, including risk management, regulatory operations, audit, legal, or other control management functions.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks, compliance risk management principles, and financial services industry requirements.
- Knowledge of consumer protection and responsible banking regulatory requirements affecting financial services products and services.
- Ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, regulatory guidance, and industry developments to business processes, controls, and risk management activities.
- Ability to establish credibility and build strong partnerships with senior business leaders, control functions, Legal, and Compliance stakeholders globally.
- Ability to influence cross-functional partners and lead complex initiatives in a highly regulated environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with experience collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing information from diverse sources.
- Experience leveraging data analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Large Language Models (LLMs) to support regulatory intelligence, complaint monitoring, risk identification, and compliance oversight activities.
- Experience analyzing complaint, risk, control, regulatory, and other structured and unstructured data sources to identify trends, emerging issues, potential control gaps, and compliance risks.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex regulatory and compliance concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong technical proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and other reporting and collaboration tools.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- JD, MBA, or Bachelor's degree
- Field-related professional certification (i.e., Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)
