Megaport is the global leader in Network as a Service (NaaS), and has transformed the way businesses connect to the cloud, data centers, and each other. We’re publicly listed on the Australian Stock Exchange and partnered with the biggest names in tech like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Oracle, IBM, and more. Headquartered in Brisbane with a crew of over 600 people spread across Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the Americas, our employees enjoy an environment that is collaborative, supportive, and (actually) fun.

Our Team Culture
We’re a team of problem solvers, pixel pushers, code slingers, and cloud fanatics. Culture is more than a poster on the wall here – collaboration beats hierarchy, curiosity fuels our growth, and everyone’s voice matters. We take our work seriously, but not ourselves. Most importantly, we place our customers at the center of everything we do.

We’re committed to increasing representation in the tech industry and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. Don’t meet every requirement? That’s okay. If you’re excited about this role, we encourage you to apply.

The Role

Latitude.sh, now part of Megaport, delivers dedicated bare metal and accelerated compute designed for high-performance, latency-sensitive workloads. As adoption accelerates across North America, we are expanding our technical depth to support growth.

As a Solution Architect, you will be the Latitude.sh compute technical expert supporting regional Megaport & Latitude Sales Teams. This is an overlay specialist role focused on translating customer workloads into optimized compute architectures, guiding technical evaluations, and ensuring customers adopt the right Latitude.sh solutions with confidence.

You’ll work side-by-side with Compute Sales Specialist and Account Managers to qualify opportunities, remove technical blockers, design workload-specific compute solutions, and support onboarding for early success. When customers need to understand CPUs, GPUs, bare metal performance, storage profiles, or deployment patterns, you are the primary advisor.

This role is compute-first focus, with network considerations supported in partnership with Megaport’s network Solution Architects when relevant.

What You’ll Be Doing

    Technical Pre-Sales (Compute)

  • Lead all compute discovery, architecture design, sizing, and performance mapping for customer workloads.

  • Translate technical requirements into tailored bare metal, GPU/accelerated compute, and storage configurations.

  • Deliver technical demos, workshops, whiteboarding sessions, and proofs of concept.

  • Validate solution feasibility and ensure alignment with Latitude’s compute deployment model.

  • Build architecture documentation that drives clarity and accelerates customer decision-making.

  • Overlay Technical Support for Megaport Sales Teams

  • Act as the technical compute specialist embedded into Megaport Sales Pods, supporting opportunity qualification and deep technical discussions.

  • Bring credibility to conversations involving workload performance, scaling strategy, virtualization, containerization, or hybrid deployment models.

  • Collaborate with Megaport Solution Architects when cloud connectivity or network design is relevant, ensuring a unified customer approach.

  • Help Sales Executives position the combined Megaport + Latitude value proposition while staying anchored in compute expertise.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Product and Engineering to relay customer feedback and influence roadmap direction.

  • Work with Latitude Procurement and Operations to confirm server availability, GPU/CPU classes, and deployment timelines.

  • Maintain accurate technical notes and solution details within CRM systems.

  • Contribute to internal documentation, technical enablement materials, and repeatable solution patterns.

  • Technical Customer Onboarding & Adoption

  • Support customers through evaluations, pilots, and onboarding with hands-on technical guidance.

  • Troubleshoot early-stage issues, validate workload performance, and ensure successful deployment.

  • Provide a smooth handoff into long-term success with well-defined architecture documentation.

  • Develop trusted customer relationships by understanding compute strategies and positioning Latitude.sh solutions effectively.

  • Increase customer adoption and expansion of Latitude.sh’s infrastructure offerings across the territory through hands-on technical support.

What We Are Looking For

  • 4+ years in a technical customer-facing role (Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Professional Services Engineer, or similar).

  • Strong hands-on expertise in bare metal compute, GPU/accelerated compute, server architecture, virtualization, and workload performance planning.

  • Understanding of compute buying cycles, solution selling, and sizing for performance-intensive workloads.

  • Knowledge of hybrid architectures, virtualization stacks, containerization, and provisioning workflows.

  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals to situate compute solutions within broader architectures.

  • Experience collaborating with network architects when connectivity impacts workload success.

What We Offer

  • Flexible working environment – a remote-first culture with coworking options available

  • Generous leave plans – including, parental leave, birthday leave, and a purchased annual leave program

  • Health and wellness support – through a wellness allowance and employee wellbeing initiatives

  • Comprehensive learning support – generous study and training allowance plus paid study leave

  • Creative, modern workspaces – designed to inspire when you're not working remotely, plus access to coworking spaces via our global WeWork membership if you work remotely, but like to get out of the house sometimes

  • Motivated, inclusive team – work alongside industry experts and fresh talent

  • Recognition programs – celebrate achievements with our Legend and Kudos award
