ZS is seeking a Consultant with experience implementing and configuring digital laboratory platforms within pharmaceutical CMC organizations. The role will help clients configure and deploy ELN, LIMS, and related systems, integrate them with the broader CMC technology landscape, and drive successful adoption through structured change management.
What you'll do:
  • Lead ELN, LIMS, and digital laboratory implementation workstreams.
  • Translate CMC business and scientific requirements into system configurations and workflow needs
  • Assess current laboratory processes, systems, data flows, and integration needs.
  • Design connections between ELN/LIMS and instruments, SDMS, CDS, ERP, MES, PLM, data platforms, and analytics tools.
  • Ensure solutions support process development, analytical development, formulation, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory activities.
  • Support platform selection, requirements definition, configuration, testing, validation, deployment, and post-launch optimization.
  • Facilitate workshops with scientists, laboratory users, IT teams, quality functions, and system vendors.
  • Develop data standards, governance models, operating procedures, and integration requirements.
  • Lead change-management activities, including stakeholder engagement, communication, training, user adoption, and readiness assessment.
  • Manage project teams, timelines, risks, deliverables, and client communications.

What you'll bring:
  • Bachelor's, master's, or PhD in chemistry, engineering, biotechnology, pharmaceutical sciences, information systems, or a related field.
  • At least five years of relevant professional experience.
  • Hands-on experience implementing or configuring ELN, LIMS, or other scientific informatics platforms.
  • Experience across system requirements, workflow design, configuration, testing, validation, deployment, or support.
  • Understanding of how laboratory platforms connect with the broader CMC systems and data ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical CMC processes, including process development, analytical development, formulation, technology transfer, manufacturing, and quality.
  • Experience working with laboratory users, IT teams, quality organizations, vendors, and senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in organizational change management and technology adoption.
  • Strong project leadership, communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
