The Emerald Cloud Laboratory (ECL) enables life scientists to move out of the lab, and to conduct research entirely from a computer. Stepping away from manual completion of experiments at the bench, scientists on the ECL leverage the remote, automated execution of all standard biology and chemistry experiments in Emerald’s industrial lab facilities, working within a software platform for all stages of research workflows, from experimental design to data analysis. Our system empowers scientists at Big Pharma companies, startups, and academic laboratories by allowing them to run wet lab experiments from anywhere in the world without ever stepping foot into the lab

Emerald Cloud Lab is looking for a Content Creator  to lead the, creation and distribution of content that establishes ECL as a thought leader in cloud laboratory science and automation.

This role sits at the intersection of scientific credibility and marketing craft — you'll translate complex,

technical work into content that resonates with scientists, R&D leaders, and technical decision-makers.

What You'll Do

  • Own the content marketing calendar, aligning output with brand, demand generation, and

sales enablement goals.

  • Lead the design, structure, and ongoing optimization of the company website, ensuring content is well-

organized, on-brand, and conversion-focused.

  • Write, edit, and manage the production of blog posts, articles, case studies, and web copy that speak

credibly to a scientific and technical audience.

  • Research, write, and publish in-depth white papers and technical reports that showcase scientific rigor

and product capability.

  • Develop thought leadership content — bylines, opinion pieces, and long-form assets — in partnership

with subject-matter experts, scientists, and leadership.

  • Partner with product, science, and engineering teams to translate technical and scientific concepts into

clear, compelling narratives.

  • Manage freelance writers, designers, and agency partners as needed to scale content production.
  • Track and report on content performance (traffic, engagement, pipeline influence) and iterate based on

results.

  • Ensure all content maintains scientific accuracy and technical credibility.

What You Bring

  • 2-5+ years of experience in content marketing, with a track record of owning content end to end.
  • Hands-on experience with website design and content management — comfortable working in a CMS

and thinking about site structure, UX, and on-page content.

  • Demonstrated experience working on and publishing white papers and thought leadership content for a

technical or scientific audience.

  • A technical background — a degree or hands-on experience in chemistry, life sciences, or a related

scientific field is strongly preferred.

  • Prior experience working in a technical or scientific company (e.g., lab automation, biotech, life

sciences, or R&D-driven organiza8on).

  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to make complex technical topics

accessible without oversimplifying them.

  • Strong project management skills; able to manage mul8ple content workstreams and deadlines

simultaneously.

  • Comfortable collaborating directly with scientists, engineers, and technical leadership to source and

validate content.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in cloud laboratory, lab automation, biotech, or pharma/life sciences marketing.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and marketing analytics tools.
  • Experience with graphic design or working closely with design teams on visual content.
