We’re Scan.com, the digital health scale-up making diagnostics accessible, fast, and transparent. Our technology speeds up diagnoses for timely treatments, improving healthcare outcomes for hundreds of patients each day.

We're doing diagnostics differently, with solutions tailored to both patients and providers, all backed by our technology and world-class customer operations team. Our B2C marketplace simplifies booking a scan, making it as straightforward for patients as booking a hotel. Our B2B platforms provide live scheduling at the point of care and harness AI to ease workflows for physicians, attorneys, and providers.

We're looking for a Content Lead at an exciting time - we've successfully launched multiple platforms and products, raised over $100m in VC funding, reached profitability, and have a growth trajectory of over 100% YoY.

WHAT YOU WILL BE GETTING INVOLVED IN:

This role sits within our growing Marketing team and reports to the VP, Marketing. You will own the day-to-day execution and strategic direction of content across both our US and UK markets and for all our audiences: patient-facing, provider-facing, employer-facing, and beyond. You are expected to both produce high-quality content yourself and brief out freelancers and contractors, across a range of formats, while also setting the strategic direction that will guide how the function is built out over time.

This is the heart and engine of Scan.com's content function. The right person will build the team’s capability and will have a clear path to doing so.

As a scale-up business, you can expect your role to develop over time. Here are some of the types of things you could be getting involved in:

  • Owning the global content strategy across B2C and B2B, UK and US markets, in close partnership with the VP, Marketing

  • Partnering with D2C and B2B Marketing Leads to ensure content supports acquisition, conversion and commercial pipeline goals in both markets

  • Driving Scan.com's organic content programme in tandem with our SEO consultant: topical authority planning, content gap analysis, and measurable growth in non-branded search traffic across both markets

  • Writing high-quality content across a range of formats: long-form articles, landing pages, email copy, B2B collateral, social copy, and more

  • Building and managing a network of trusted freelance contributors to extend content capacity across clinical, technical and specialist subject areas

  • Owning content operations: brief templates, editorial calendar, review and approval workflow, and quality control that will scale as the team grows

THE TOP 4 THINGS WE WANT YOU TO ACHIEVE IN YOUR FIRST YEAR ARE:

By the end of your first year, you will have:

  1. Contributed meaningfully to B2B pipeline through thought leadership, sales enablement and partner-facing content that the commercial team actually uses in conversations

  2. Built and executed a global content strategy that is driving measurable growth in non-branded organic traffic and search rankings across both the UK and US markets

  3. Optimized our content operations: running a functioning editorial calendar, optimizing our brief-to-publish workflow, and driving quality standards that hold across every piece of content that goes out

  4. Become the editorial centre of gravity for Scan.com, the person colleagues across marketing, product and sales come to for content that is clear, credible and commercially purposeful

WHAT YOU MIGHT BRING TO THE TABLE:

You don't need to tick all the boxes to apply for this role. Whether it's your first role or your fifth role, we believe everyone can add value, learn, and grow. However, these might be some of the ways you are currently adding value:

  • Demonstrable knowledge of the US healthcare system: how patients access care, how insurance and self-pay works, how providers make referral decisions, and the language that resonates with American healthcare consumers

  • Supporting the Sales team with high quality collateral and content assets that build pipeline

  • Owning or significantly contributing to an organic content programme that delivered measurable SEO results: traffic growth, ranking improvements, or topical authority built over time

  • Writing confidently across multiple formats and audiences: long-form editorial, email, landing pages, B2B collateral. Knowing instinctively how to adapt voice and structure for each

  • Commissioning and managing freelancers or external contributors, with strong editorial instincts and the ability to brief and quality-control work that comes back

  • Operating with genuine autonomy in a fast-moving environment: setting your own priorities, managing your own workload, and making sound judgement calls without needing close direction

  • Using AI tools intelligently in your content workflow, while maintaining the editorial standards that ensure high quality output

HOW WE WILL INTERVIEW YOU:

We keep our interview process short and sweet, and we're a nimble team that can progress at pace. Here are the stages you can expect, but we might switch up the order of each step depending on team availability:

  1. Introductory call/interview with our Senior Talent Partner. The call is via telephone and will last around 30 minutes.

  2. Should it feel like there is an initial fit for all, we will invite you to a video call with the hiring manager for around 45 minutes. This is a more structured interview that will deep-dive into the role and technical needs.

  3. All of our roles will have a small assessment stage. This might be in person, a take-home assessment, or further video calls. Length varies, but we're mindful of your time and try to keep it as simple as possible.

  4. Meet the founders and/or other team members. Again, length varies depending on how many people and whether in person or via video call.

  5. Offer!

BENEFITS:

We go beyond the basics with our benefits package. Here's what you can expect from us:

  • Salary range of $100,000 - $120,000

  • 401k

  • Healthcare, Vision, and Dental

  • All the equipment needed for you to do your role effectively

  • Flexible working

  • Remote or hybrid working options

  • Personal Development budgets

  • 18 days PTO plus public holidays

  • 10 paid sick days

  • Inclusive policies designed by our team, for our team
