Profound is on a mission to help companies understand and control their AI presence. As Content Marketing Manager, you will define and execute the content strategy that positions Profound as the definitive voice in the answer-engine era. You will own the editorial engine that translates our product, data, and customer insights into compelling stories across written, video, and emerging formats.

What you’ll do
  • Develop and drive Profound’s content strategy, translating complex ideas about AI, brand visibility, and marketing technology into clear, compelling narratives that educate and inspire marketers

  • Write and edit high-quality long-form content including e-books, benchmark reports, whitepapers, blogs, customer stories, and thought leadership pieces that establish Profound as the authority on answer engine optimization

  • Create multi-format content across blog, social, video, email, and emerging channels that drives awareness, education, and pipeline throughout the customer journey

  • Build a repeatable content repurposing framework that extends the life of pillar assets, turning benchmark reports, webinars, and major campaigns into sustained streams of derivative content

  • Develop content series and editorial calendars that balance evergreen educational content with timely commentary on AI developments and market shifts

  • Collaborate with Product Marketing, Growth, and Comms to amplify product launches, events, and campaigns with cohesive storytelling and compelling copy

  • Use analytics and performance data to measure content impact, surface audience insights, and continuously refine messaging and content strategy

  • Experiment with emerging content formats and AEO strategies to ensure Profound’s content leads the conversation about AI and brand visibility

Who you are
  • Strategic storyteller who can translate technical concepts into narratives that resonate with marketers and drive business outcomes

  • Experience leading or contributing to content programs at a SaaS, AI, or marketing technology company, with demonstrable impact

  • Strong background in written content development and video content scripting, with a sharp editorial eye and attention to craft

  • Deep understanding of how to build and scale content systems and maximize the lifecycle value of strategic assets

  • Fluency in SEO, AEO, and content distribution strategies, with a strong grasp of how algorithms and search behavior are evolving

  • Data-informed mindset, using analytics to guide content decisions and measure what is working beyond vanity metrics

  • Experience telling stories around data, AI, analytics, or the future of search and marketing

Location

This is an on-site role based in our NYC or SF office, designed for builders who thrive on speed, iteration, and meaningful impact.

For this role, the expected base salary range is $100,000 to $160,000 (NYC and SF). Profound’s total compensation package is designed to be competitive and includes base salary, equity, and a full range of benefits and perks. Final compensation will depend on factors such as your skills, experience, qualifications, and location, and will be determined during the interview process.
