Who We Are

At DOSS we’re building an AI-native ERP and Operations Cloud to unlock the next generation of enterprise applications. Our team re-wrote 50 years of legacy software to drive a step-function improvement in how supply chain, operations, and finance organizations execute.

We need more people to help us build and sell.

“Core Ops” Reviews

Here more about Core Ops from people who have gone through it.

There's really no other role [like Core Ops] that thrusts you front and center with the totality of a business. From day one you get to work with ops leaders on building the digital backbone connecting the goods they sell and the value they deliver to their customers.

– Peter, former Management Consultant

I learned more in 1 year in Core Ops than I would have in a decade at a larger company.

It’s quite magical, early in your career, to be in a role that allows you to touch on every aspect of a business: sales, customer success, product development. On top of this, Doss Core Ops are often working with 10+ customers simultaneously, attempting to deeply understand the ins and outs of their business. The work is about transforming the most complex systems into easy, digestible bites.

The role is certainly a tall task, but undeniably the best career growth opportunity for anyone interested in learning through experimentation, driving their own tempo, and accelerating time-to-value for real-world businesses.

– Jaylen, former Actuarial Consultant

Our pre-sale story got us to Series A but the post-sales story that will accelerate the growth of the company to Series B and beyond – and Core Ops are defining this. We’re currently breaking the “laws of physics of software implementation”, and the caliber we’re looking for is proving hard to find.

The experience you get as in Core Ops trumps everything that’s out there.

The cycle for folding iteration back into the product is almost real-time. When you realize we are missing a necessary piece of the puzzle, you don’t have to create a giant PRD and hold countless meetings to ‘align stakeholders’. Instead, you literally turn your chair, explain to Arnav (Doss CTO) why we need something and the use case, get on a whiteboard to map out the idea, and it’s live the next day.

– Shaan, former Product Manager

In Core Ops you’re working with founders / senior leadership at Doss and our customers every day, all the time. The pace of decision making, the connections you’re making, the problems you’re exposed to – all of this makes for a steep growth trajectory. We’re accelerating careers by 10x, not 10%.

I have no doubt that every one of our current Core Ops cohorts will go on to start their own companies one day. This program is going to be a factory for high-agency, brilliant, curious people to sharpen themselves on one another before they go out into the world and build their own life’s work.

– Wiley, DOSS CEO and Co-founder (the first “Core Ops” member)

Overview

Core Operations (CoreOps) is a cohort-based career accelerator program at DOSS which functions as a “talent factory” to enable recent grads to rapidly grow towards owning customer relationships, solution architecture, and business-line P&L.

Over the course of 24 months you will:

  1. Learn our business

  2. Learn our industry and the industries of our customers

  3. Learn how to operate

  4. Rapidly grow in your career and get jettisoned into senior roles in Marketing, Sales, Operations, Product

Core Ops Accelerator is a fast-paced “future-CEO factory” where ambitious generalists who want to build and sell can come to sharpen themselves with other A+ players.

Core Operations Accelerator program timeline, milestones, and exit opportunities

How It WorksProgram Lifecycle

CoreOps is a fixed length program. Cohorts of new hires begin together during a 4-wk intensive onboarding program (“PRIME”) onsite at DOSS, meaning start dates are grouped together every few weeks.

After PRIME, CoreOps team embeds as PMOs, focused on the delivery of our customer implementations. After approximately 6 months the first review is performed and members of the cohort either are promoted upward, laterally, or not eligible until the next review again in 6 months. After 24 months total the program ends and team members are assigned a permanent home either in Sales, Solutions, PMO, Product, etc.

(1) PRIME

During PRIME we are providing the tools and baseline foundations for success in Core Ops.

Week 1

  • Learn about our industry, its history, and the technology (ERP, Operations Cloud)

  • Learn about our customers, their industries, their problems

  • Learn about our product, our technology, and how we are different

  • Learn about company: values, operating principles, career/performance management

  • Learn about PMO: our pillar for implementing DOSS Operations Cloud for customers

    • Process → how do we tactically execute this?

    • Product → how does the product work to accomplish this?

Week 2

  • Classroom style tutorials taught by PMO team

  • Shadowing active installs with a PMO Lead / IC

Week 3-4

  • Live Eval on active customer work under PMO ICs (other CoreOps members)

    • Leading customer calls for discovery

    • Data modeling

    • Data cleaning

    • Debugging and triaging customer support requests

    • Business process modeling, design, and implementation

    • Integration scoping and documentation

    • Live triage of customer errors

Closeout

  • PRIME ends with a few key activities:

    • A ranked performance management review (DIPS) which sets the baseline going into future reviews throughout the program

    • CoreOps team members are then selected into teams under Leads and assigned to active projects by Portfolio Mgrs

    • A big party at the office led by the DOSS senior leadership team.

(2) The Next 6 Months

Leading up to the first phase of reviews, members of CoreOps are bought

  • Delivery of E2E customer installs

  • Pair up with PRIME cohort shadowing and Live Eval

  • Define areas of interest as exit opportunities (Sales, Solutions, PMO, Product) → 1:1 time with those team members

(3) Reviews

Approximately every 6 months after program start, the team runs a lightweight qualitative and quantitative review process (DIPS) with CoreOps cohorts where team members are scored, ranked, and identified for promotion, compensation increases, and exits.

We are a sports team, not a family. This is the ‘96 bulls. If you want the Rec League, go work somewhere else!

I promise it’s not painful – it’s actually really fun and clarifying (especially for people who like winning).

(4) Iteration and Completion

For the remaining 18 months, the cohort will continue their day-to-day and bi-annual DIPS reviews continuing along the PMO track (targeting promotion to Lead after 12 months), transition to lateral team, or exit the company in search of what’s next!

Our first cohort saw anywhere from between 35%-85% increases in their compensation with the average being >50%. This means if you enter making $140,000, you’ll leave the program earning around $220,000 less than 2 years later.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver results on mission-critical initiatives. Design, prioritize, and drive the execution of high-priority, high-scope projects, ensuring measurable outcomes that align with the company’s objectives.

  • Navigate our organization and our customers organizations. Align leadership and ICs to make decisions and deliver results.

  • Build processes that drive rigor. Go in, fix something, and put in a process to make sure it stays fixed.

  • Obsess over talent, find it, recruit it, develop it, organize it, mobilize it. CoreOps is about systematically increasing the output of the organization by making our people and systems better.

About You
  • Exceptionally Good Judgement. In other words: you’re right, a lot. We find that high-performers make very few mistakes.

  • High-Intensity. You have experience in high-pressure roles within finance, consulting, or startup environments. These are your real preferences, not your stated preferences.

  • Intellectual Firepower. You cut through noise, synthesize, and get to the right answers fast.

  • Technical from 1st Principles. You can grok hard engineering and logic problems from a place of intuition, not memorization.

  • Systems Thinker. Everything in our business is highly interconnected across people, process, and technology. In order to make progress you need to be able to traverse it, untangle it, and put it back together.

Bonus Points:

  • Formal education in hard sciences, engineering, physics, or a related field.

  • Experience with large-scale software implementation, technical program management, or hardware engineering program management.

What you need to know about the San Francisco Tech Scene

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. That said, San Francisco has a lot to offer beyond technology thanks to a thriving art and music scene, excellent food and a short drive to several of the country’s most beautiful recreational areas.

Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
  • Research Centers and Universities: Stanford University; University of California, Berkeley; University of San Francisco; Santa Clara University; Ames Research Center; Center for AI Safety; California Institute for Regenerative Medicine
