About You and The Role

The Corporate Accountant  will support Zipline’s accounting month-end close focusing on inventory, manufacturing, maintenance and logistics.  The candidate will help review and maintain master data management, cycle count reporting, and operational accounting processes. You will work closely with the Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Operations teams to ensure our financial data accurately reflects the physical movement of goods and assets across the business.

  • Support the month-end close process by running recurring inventory, freight, and operational accounting reports.
  • Prepare first-level review packages for inventory activity, roll forwards, reconciliations,  cycle counts, and other key operational accounting areas.
  • Assist with cost validation, variance analysis, and investigation of unusual trends or activity.
  • Maintain and validate key master data, including location types, product categories, inventory classifications, and other reporting attributes.
  • Support cycle count testing, review, reporting, discrepancy follow-up, and audit documentation.
  • Assist with inventory reporting for manufacturing, spares, R&D, or other operational areas as business needs evolve.
  • Help improve the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of fixed asset and inventory data.
  • Support recurring fixed asset review processes, including asset additions, disposals, transfers, classifications, and verification.
  • Help develop reporting and KPIs for spares, inventory movements, cycle count performance, aging, and operational accuracy.
  • Identify process gaps, control risks, and opportunities to improve accounting efficiency and scalability.
  • Support internal and external audit requests related to inventory, freight, cycle counts, fixed assets, and operational accounting.
