Job Requirements

 

The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of experience in a general corporate practice with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, growth equity investments, and general corporate governance, especially in the private equity space. In addition, candidates should possess strong academic credentials and excellent communication and drafting skills, be team-oriented and capable of taking on significant responsibility for drafting primary deal documents, leading complex diligence, deal management (including managing junior associates and internal specialist teams), client interaction and work product.  

Practice Summary

 

Greenberg Traurig's Private Equity Practice has wide-ranging experience representing private equity firms in complex domestic and cross-border transactions in a variety of industries, including consumer products, aerospace, manufacturing, food and beverage, health care, financial services, distribution, and technology. We work regularly with regional, national, and global private equity firms advising them in connection with acquisitions, dispositions, financing transactions, and fund formation. We also assist and advise portfolio companies, management teams, co-investors, and other participants in all aspects of private equity transactions. Our focus is on serving all aspects of private equity firm legal needs, from purchase and sale transactions, as well as more broadly on portfolio company support, finance matters, fund formation, ongoing fund operation, tax analysis, and business reorganization and restructuring transactions.

Given our global presence, with over 150 private equity attorneys in 27 locations worldwide, we have deep firm experience in a multitude of niche areas drawn upon for our PE clients.

The expected pay range for this position is:

$305,000 - $410,000 per year

Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  Full time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, short term disability, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401K, vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program.  Additional voluntary programs include:  voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary critical illness and cancer insurance and pet insurance.  Commuter and Transit programs may also be available in certain markets.
